Unironically, it would only be a problem for me if her boyfriend was bad for her. Like, if they made him abusive or something. I would hate it, and it'd be extremely depressing. But a boyfriend that made her happy wouldn't be a problem.

I started watching the show quite late, and my waifu became my waifu before I caught up. Because of that, the things that happen in the show and the scenes that I imagine with my waifu don't happen at the same time. I mean, if she got a boyfriend in the show, for me it would mean that there was a (vaguely defined) time where she had a boyfriend, not necessarily that she still has a boyfriend while I'm "with" her.

I'd be grumpy but I'd get over it. I'd hate it though if he was some alpha Chad douchebag and she turned into a bumbling idiot who's head over heels in love like Twi in EG 1. If he is like Sunburst then I wouldn't care. I could just self insert if I really wanted too at that point.
Her character seems too independent for a BF though in reality so I'm not to scared but I'm prepared for the worst.

Honestly, I would be upset at shipping appearing in the show at all, at least where the mane 6 are concerned. Though the idea of Fluttercord has grown on my since the season 6 finale, I still think I would be against it.
