Most seem to agree on continuing the notions of the French revolution by somehow phasing out - if not outright destroying - all remaining class distinction.

Per China, to pretend to act in their defense you could certainly say it is a pragmatic execution of socialism and a pragmatic interpretation of the Marxist-Leninist approach.

Your right in the fact that political systems evolve over time. Republicanism is a good example like you stated however Marxism is difficult to apply to the same principles, primarily because of the way in which Marx theorized it. When it comes to Marxism the problem isn't partiality like others are arguing. I used to be a Marxist myself however now it has become clear to me that the idea of Marxism was founded on a false principle which is a forward moving view of history. History however does not progress or regress it simply is. The idea that a victim of societal pressure oppressed in a lower class in which needs to reevaluate everything around to his class is a weak political cleavage. The English and American proletariats did not revolt for a reason. It was because they saw themselves closer to the aristocracy of their countrymen then they saw themselves in their class.

Racial bounds however are the greatest other of all. It is why neo-marxists in the university work so hard to make race into a class of its own. Feminists tried the same with sex and class however that did not work so well as we can see in with the US and French election where swarms of women voted more on racial lines rather than which person was the member of their sex. But this is particularly why left wingers today wish to import other races into western nations, especially far left ideologies. They view the importation of these foreigners to create a new oppressed proletariats class in which will have no similarities with the native people and their countrymen and thus when the time for a communist revolution comes the masses of the negroid race will take up arms against those who once called the location their home.
