Its pointed to as the highest stakes point in the entire series, and is remembered as the most action this show will ever get. You can dislike its action focus all you want, but there are many people who like action in the show (hence the GOH toy line), and that's their iconic sacred cow for a reason.

The bulk of the books are coming out at the end of August, so it's not going to help much. Maybe the movie prequel comics will help, but given the comic's track record in the last year I'm not holding my breath. Elements of harmony Vol 2 next week probably won't amount to too terribly much either, but at least it's something I suppose.
I'm sad we're not getting any more Berrow chapter books for the foreseeable future.
