Which is honestly sad when you think about it as Glimmer has much more screentime and oppotunities than Sunset, yet it's been squandered by making her the writers pet who can do no wrong.

You know the saying "The brightest star burns twice as fast?"

I'd have a hard time believing it wasn't on purpose, considering how in one episode Twilight outright stated Glimmer completed every single friendship lesson she had to offer, when we saw none of it. They just dumped so much potential story in the span of seconds. There's nowhere really left to go from here.

I wonder if they're just testing the waters for introducing the next Twilight clone. Perhaps even bringing back Shimmer on top of that and replacing all the current ruling princesses (Twilight not included) for generation 5.
