Does anyone know who the attackers actually are? All I know is that they are mad at us for botting. The main core of us that have bots are using them purely defensively and /mlp/ does not condone the people who aggressively started botting the C&L mural into existence.

I was one of the vocal advocates of putting the mural at the bottom. Here was my reasoning:

>mane six serve as "introduction" to mural

>expansion will naturally progress southwards, leaving the mural in a prominent position - clearly in the middle of pony art, but still relatively close to the centre (compared to e.g. filly princesses, and other art which may end up ever further south)
Whereas north means:

That's ignoring all the things like what would need to be moved out of the way and how likely it would be to get attacked.
Notice how none of that incorporates a rigid base design. I figured there'd be organic southwards expansion, but I didn't envision borders of squares or other autism.

What does everyone think about this? I honestly believe below-centre is the best placement, without any need for frames or borders. Any opinions?

Not really. each bot would inherently just act like one person. We have enough people that even back before we had any bots whatsoever (banned or not) we were able to repair the massive damage holk dealt. Here's some GIMP instructions that have worked extremely well for me and let me create those scary Twilight images in the last thread.

First, get a 1:1 scale version of the template. Most of the templates posted here can scale down without losing anything, but if you need one, ask and ye shall receive.

Next, zoom out on the canvas. All the way. Then, use the built-in screenshot feature to get a capture. This will give you a 1:1 scale of the canvas. Crop out the piece you're looking for.

Open the template in a new window and create a new layer, and put the canvas capture on that layer. Go to Filters > Animation > Optimize (difference). This will convert the top layer to a transparent image with only pixels that change from the template.

Photoshop may or may not have a similar feature.

I know some of the people running bots. I know for a fact that bots contributed maybe 10% to cleaning up that image. The rest of it was all the power of autism.
