I think the Trixiefags themselves did, due to her living in a wagon and being a shady stage performer down on her luck, there are many greens where she's characterized as a slut and a lush, often drinking her sorrows away and bringing all kinds of stallions back to her wagon.

Big Mac was like, one of the first ships with her. I don't remember if it was originally to piss off Applejack or that Trixie was trying to turn him straight. Anyway, it's just a meme that started with fanfiction.
