I agree, the magenta highlight through Twilight's hair was honestly really one of my favorite things about her design, especially when I first started watching the show. The blue only main in OP looks just kind of bland/generic.

RBD looks pretty ugly there... her contrasting eyes are part of what makes her look so good. New cutie mark's better too, though not as big of a difference.
