I'm not just angry, I'm disappointed. The earlier summaries made this look like an improvement, a more balanced type of Glimmer story that'd show off a new dynamic between her and Sunset, so why are they so determined to repeat season 6's biggest mistakes instead?

At what point is it going to become clear to any of Glimmer's writers that the way to make her fit in is to have her work with the rest of the main cast, not throw them offscreen so she can do everything important? This show is supposed to be about the value friendship and teamwork. Demonstrate some of it. The sheer inattentiveness to criticism on display here is making it hard to believe we're not supposed to hate this.

I'm referring to the fact that the usual main cast seems to get rendered useless every time Glimmer's supposed to save the day. Admittedly, season 7 has been better in this regard, especially with A Royal Problem, but this special sounds like it's just repeating To Where and Back Again without the involvement of Trixie, Discord, and Thorax.

I was not fond of that episode.
