Got some progress going. Having trouble getting the right colors for Luna going so I focused on getting a base color for Celestia and started dithering the image to keep from getting frustrated.

So what we need to do is construct the copy and maintain it, and then wait for Navi guy to notice and move his bot to the new location. Until then, we peacefully coexist -- the Navi sign isn't really in the way at the moment (we also share with a piece of Spanish flag). It's only when we get to Twilight that it becomes a problem.

I did have a better idea, but it was ignored.

We are one of the most minor minorities to exist.
We know the rest if the world doesnt like us, and other than the few, we all understand why.

We had an entire landscape to choose from, but we chose the centre.
Why did we choose the centre?

We say we are comfortable and secure with our choices, but we know nobody else accepts or understands.

So we put a giant mural dead centre in a public space.
This was stupid from the beginning, and the only reason any of our pictures are still there is because robots are keeping them clean.

This makes them worthless.

We're not in the centre of the canvas - the cooldown was like 1 minute (before the region split was implemented). We also were the first to settle there and start on our ponies, we didn't take an already populated space and "steamroll" it. There's been some minor art swallowed up but it was generally abandoned, and we've already moved (i.e. copied to a different location before destroying the original) some pieces of art.

We're also getting horribly raided because like everyone hates ponies. Our line up of art is pretty noticeable, and it's going to be the first target for literally any group that wants to fuck somebody up. We aren't using bots to build new things, and we aren't mass-spamming bots - only a couple of guys have them. I know for a fact many of us have spent dozens of hours just doing manual defense, which is still necessary because during raids the bots can't keep up either.

So shut up and die.

I've been trying to keep the dithering to a pattern to make it easier to build and maintain.

Kidding aside, a couple tips:
Scale your image and use it as a background so you can ensure things stay accurate.
Lay out the image with large blobs of color to start. For example, the manes were laid out base colors of magenta, green, aqua, and grey before details were added.
To add the dithering, just stagger the two colors between in a checkerboard. It looks fine and it is easier come building.

The rest of it is just slowly matching colors, zooming out, checking, undoing, redoing, etc. It's not hard, just monotonous.

It actually doesn't need much to change, but if someone who knows what to change and into what, that someone could as well just code a script from nothing. My fastest quick solution would be around 5 lines more to make that happen myself. But at least it doesn't give away any crucial info needed to make script/bot for canvas.

I did quick test with black, and i think it could work. Everything else is more than fine in my opinion. Reason why i wanted to try black is that Luna doesn't seem to have enough kick compared to Celestia. Pic related was my lack luster attempt and it raised problem how to liven up center as i have no artistic sense or skill other than replacing color with other.

This isn't meant to be comparison or to be meant to be used. It exists just to illustrate what i was trying to communicate as my intent.

Okay, there seems so be a considerable amount of confusion about the current status of the bots. I'm one of the anons currently running a bot, and here is what I know:
Mine, and one other I know, places only one pixel at a time. I do know of one guy who can do a few extra at a time. Overall the manual work is actually greater than the bots, the bots can just react quickly enough to deter attacks when people aren't watching.
I can also confirm that they are not being used for raiding. Hell, they aren't even being used to construct new stuff. We mainly just have them on defense and cleanup. As far as I know, /mlp/ has never initiated, partaken in, or been involved in any way in, a raid on another group. The idea was thrown around a couple of times, but in all honesty, none of us are here for that. It was just people being angry at the level of damage we were experiencing.

Please, don't fool yourself into thinking our work was made by bots. Everything we have accomplished, we actually accomplished. This isn't /vp/ where we do all the big builds automatically and have other people do micro pieces of art on the side. You did this, take some pride in your work. The fact that we can maintain what we have in the center is a testament to our dedication (autism). Especially since the biggest repairs were all done before these bots were made. The bots have just come around this week.

Oh another thought, could someone try blending the small grey area in the middle where their bangs connect? I agree with this. We currently have 2 projects so I say we focus on finishing them so those who are away will get to see the progress that was made and the plans for our potentially biggest work ever finished.

I had an idea and I'm not sure if it was discussed before.
It looks like there would be room in the corners of the Mane 6 characters thus far to add in their cutie marks, but with the little room around fluttershy we would have there cute those with 3 symbols (Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie and Applejack) down to one, and Fluttershy's would have to cover the heart in the bottom corner.
