Would the show get any benefit from adding a human civilization?

Yeah.... no

>EQG
Not like that, though.
Something I've had in my head for a while:
>innamovie
>Mane 6 have secured passage on birb pirate's ship
>get to a particular spot in the ocean, fairly close to an unfamiliar coastline
>bird gets uneasy, won't answer questions as to why she's uneasy
>just want's to get out of this area in general
>mate in crows nest shouts "STEAMER!"
>everyone goes to the stern
>sees pic related
>try to outrun the steamships
>fail
>cannonblast.wav
>bird's ship disabled
>steamship captain is human
>long history of cat and bird with bird
>finallycaught.jpg
>get taken to human city
>thrown in human jail for piracy and trespassing
>Twilight explains that the pirates are helping them save their land from the storm king
>humans familiar with storm king
>agree to help
I know this won't happen, I'm just stroking my own autism.

Also, the human city looks like this, minus the baguette needle.
>>30158780
No, but I wouldn't mind a callback to Megan
>>30158780
Depends on how its done
>>30160852
if they were going to do it, it would probably be a generic fantasy kingdom, like they did back in the earlier generations.

I am honestly kind of mad they are painting pirates as the heros.
If they had to do humans, I'd like an elder race thing with limited numbers, where our present is their ancient past. Beyond that, I'd rather no humans be there at all (except for Megan, if it must be done).
one vote for human civilization

Lots
>Divorce from EQG
>Another chance at designing humans
>Explaining faults in their world design
>Super Mario Odyssey call back.
YES

The closest FiM will ever get to humans is a monkey civilization.
>>30162334
how about this one..
>>30160960
This is probably what would happen.
My fever dream is that the show would portray a human society with aesthetics of the 1950s with a technological level equivalent to what people in the 1950s thought the future would look like.

Yes... and no.
The thing about adding a human civilization is that it'd be such a truly massive move to make in the development of the show, a turning point that would be talked about "before" and "after" in the same way that Twilicorn is, guaranteed to be controversial. You have to be very certain not to squander it - wasting an introduction like that one a one-off premiere/finale never to be seen again, or forcing them in too hard like they did with Twilicorn or Glimmer. You have to have a plan for the story to follow - an extended story - from the moment humans are introduced.
That said, I absolutely think there's much that could be done with a human civilization: A species that does not have the magic automatically afforded to ponies and instead carves its own home out in an uncaring, often hostile world through blood and fire and steel. As allies that would slowly open up to the ponies, it would be a good way to show that friendship does not have finite limits - not even being bound to one world. As alien as we would be, we could also be friends.

what for?
there's already perfection
>>30158784
thread should've ended here

So, Fallout? That's stupid and you're stupid for suggesting it.
Including humans would be awful. It would leave much less room for the viewer in the play world they've created.
Leaving out Megan or an analog of her was one of the best things Mom did for us. Avatars for the viewer—usually the targeted viewer—are poison to the imagination.
>>30158934
more like
>humans don't give a shit
>but they do hate the storm king so they're gonna go fuck him up
>expand territory and leave the girls in prison
>>30158780
>horsefucker are cannon
not really if they don't show the saucy parts
>>30163686
Explains why Spike is such a shit character then.
Although I for one would love for Megan to be reintroduced.

The first generation Renault Twingo. Other than that, no.
