Haven't read it but from the overall skimming through i give it 1/10 for lack of backgrounds, lazy art and canonising monkeys in MLP universe.

The CMC's cutiemarks looks awful in the comic, almost like they're a last-minute cut and paste job.

Really, really weak.
I've never rated lower than 3, but this one deserves

1/10

There are few main issues:

#1 the story is boring. We've all seen the Fluttershy Leans already, so the story's conclusion was known from the start. It was basically "how they handled things" scenario. No conflict, no surprises or turns of events.
It could've been salvaged by humour, for example. A few well placed jokes that make you laugh and care less for the actual story. But no. Booooring!

#2 Art. I just can't stomach Fosgitt's characters, it's off-putting. Even more so with the animals. I spent most of the reading time staring at the pages and wondering if this guy ever seen any of those animals in real life.

#3 action placement. Fosgitt skipped on so many backgrounds I had trouble following what happens where. Most of the comic is the characters in a non-descriptive colourful void with no visible translations.

I think it is the worst issue in the history of MLP comics.

I have to agree. Usually I tend to enjoy the comics, even the objectively bad ones. If the story was shit, sometimes Price or Fleecs art was enjoyable enough for me. If the art was done by Fosgitt, usually the story was entertaining enough to get me through it satisfied. I don't take them too seriously and just try to have as much fun as I can with them.

This, however, is legitimately the absolute worst comic in the entire series. The story is not very engaging, but it is a script that could have easily been carried by a competent artist in order to at least present a fun, comfy atmosphere with lots of hidden Easter eggs in the backgrounds or bits of visual humour. Unfortunately, we got stuck with Fosgitt doing what is arguably his laziest work to date. The pile of animals in all of the panels in >>30155388 and >>30155395 is copy-pasted 4 fucking times, he has a bizarre switch from four-legs to anthro halfway through, his backgrounds are devoid of all interest, and each scene contains the bare necessity required to convey an already bare-bones story.

Legit 1/10. Had a shit time.

Yes, he puts literally the absolute minimum amount of effort into cutie marks (whether he puts more effort into the rest of the art is up for debate... but I'd say it's only slightly above minimum). In this case I'm 100% sure he just googled the CMC's cutie marks and is actually using someone's vector or something from dA.

I agree they'd be fucking useless against a swarm of dragons, but those have never been the stakes in MLP. One dragon, like in Dragonshy, is enough to be a serious threat to Equestria for 100 years.

Realistically the scenario would probably be something more among the lines of all the Wonderbolts and a small militia of pegasi keeping a lone rogue dragon busy for the hours it takes to mobilize a unicorn nuke force (or get Luna to nuke it, now that she's around). Either the dragons gets bored by the nuisance and leaves, is actually chipped down to the point where it's incapable of continuing it's rampage, or the cavalry arrives.
