1. Friendship festival in the beginning, everyone is happy and singing. Tirek 2.0 and his cliche henchmen ruin the party and steal everyone's magic.
2. Mane 6 (and Spike) go to Seaworld to get help I guess. They get there thanks to flying pirates. One of them is a gay furfag. (If the bad guys don't give chase and give us an action scene here, I'll be very disappointed)
3. They get to Seaworld after turning into spawns of Satan. Seahorse Queen sends her daughter to help I guess.

Look, I want the movie to be good as well, but they literally named the land 'Seaquestria.' If the writers can't even be bothered to think of a proper name for one of the central locations in the story, what does that say for the rest of the writing? I started watching MLP specifically because they bothered to think about things like this instead of biting the low hanging fruit. Except for Ponyville, of course.

Either the writers actually think a name like that is good and acceptable, which is bad, or they couldn't be bothered to think of a decent one, which is also bad. My faith in the writers just halved because of a shitty name.

Seaquestria seems fine. They're sea ponies. It's a nice pun. I don't see the difference with canterlot, ponyville or equestria. And desu we don't even know if they'll stay underwater for more than 5 minutes.

For all we know Seaquestria is a 'province' or Equestria and is called like that because of X or Y.

But then they watched it, and it was pretty good, partially because the writing WASN'T lazy, and there was actual thought put into the locations and characters.
