I wouldn't consider myself a Glimmerfag but I don't mind her one bit. Sure, she may be taking over the show, but it's the natural progression. Twilight was in the spotlight for five whole seasons, and after a while you just need another character to balance things out. I really wish everyone else on this board could realise that Glimmer really isn't all too bad. She's not my waifu, she's not amazingly attractive, but she's there, and I will respect DHX's decision to add her. You know why? Because unlike you faggots, I enjoy the show no matter what direction it goes. I laugh my ass off at both the simple, cheesy gags and the subtle pop culture references. And if you don't either, you're not a true fan.

Do we really need another character to balance things out though? Shows like King of the Hill or Futurama went for many, many seasons more than MLP without ever feeling the need to introduce new characters, and they never felt stale or unbalanced. It just feels like Glimmer is more because the writers themselves need a crutch rather than all possible stories have been told.
