Do little girls like MLP though? The only time I've seen pony merch on its intended audience was when I was at an airport for a layover (don't remember which city, I was traveling a lot for work at the time). A girl, probably around 4 years old, was wearing a Rainbow Dash t-shirt. Haven't seen anything before or since then.

I have seen a fair few occurrences.
But further more, supermarkets, especially Tesco are pushing it like mad and have been for about half a year now. Every time I go shopping I see more and more merch appearing.
Also MLP is doing so fucking well just generally, and I really doubt thats mainly to do with the online fandom. Bronies have helped spread the word, but I imagine a lot of kids love it for the same reasons we do, it's cute, fun and well made. Sure, kids probably don't criticise the show in the same depth as we do, but you'd be surprised at how aware most of them are.
