The tunnel you followed to get here was pretty easy to get through, and you only make one wrong turn on the way back. You're getting good at finding your way around here! Soon, you turn the corner with the broken light mushroom and find the pony cave door again.

"In here, Buddy!" he calls from the computer room. You trot in and see him trying to get the radio working again.

Soft Serve opens his metal box and shuffles his hoof around in it. He takes out some kind of short stick with a tiny pebble on the end of it. When he twists the pebble off and squeezes the stick, some sort of gooey stuff comes out. You watch with wonder as Soft Serve squirts the gooey stuff on Thunder's broken wing, then he presses it back where it belongs and starts saying words you can't understand.
"One Mississippi... two Mississippi... three Mississippi..."
You tilt your head and chirp. But Soft just keeps doing that until he gets to "thirty Mississippi." Then he gives Thunder's wing a little wiggle. Smiling, he gives you your friend back. "That should do it." he says. "Good as new!"
Squeaking happily, you give Thunder a squeeze and tug on his wing. It's a bit stiff, but it's back where it belongs. And Soft Serve tastes happy again now, so you're happy too.

After that, Soft goes to get dinner ready, and Ant Silver goes to the booboo room to clean herself up. She turns to you hears your hoofsteps.
You taste a mix of wet salt and cold.
"Oh... it's you." she mumbles, going back to taking stuff out of the booboo box. "What do you want?"

She almost looks like... she smiled a tiny little bit? "Now, if we can just get you to do that more, you might just become a capable little soldier in time."
You smile and bounce on your hooves.

Ant Silver raises her eyebrow. "Alright." she says.
You point to the pony cave.
>"Po-nee kayf haff en-nee-maw doors? Get oat if bad bugs get in?"
Ant Silver nods. "There is," she tell you, "but it's in my room, beneath the crates. Nopony is allowed in there except in an emergency. There are very important things in there that I don't want other ponies to touch. Do you understand me?"
She sounds the tiniest bit spicy now, so you nod.

That makes her happy again.
Well, happy-ish.
>"Iff Bud-dee scoot ah-gen, oooo-aht look for?"
"Anything that will help you or us to survive." Silver says. "Food, medicine, weapons, and electronic components are the most vital things to look out for, but they're also very difficult to find now."
>"Food? Bats food!"
"The pied bats?" Silver shakes her head. "An appreciable idea, but I'm afraid they cause stomach illness in ponies. They're simply too sweet."
>"Uh..."
Was there anything else?
Oh. Right.
>"Uh, Bud-dee find stink-ee po-nee under blankee in castle. Sofft tell Bud-dee naht touch or take hell-met. Sil-fah know ooo-ie?"
Silver makes a soft breathing noise. "You don't even recognize the dead when you see them?" she asks. "How I'd love to be that young and naive again... Ponies like the one you saw are casualties of war. Leave them be. There's nothing that can be done for them now anyway: They can't even be buried in their current state..." You taste spiciness again. "It's sickening, and it's wrong, but the way things are now, all we can do is let them rest where they are. If one of us were exposed to the wrong pathogen with only minor first aid supplies available..." She sighs. "If you come across anypony in that state, just stay away from them, and let Soft or myself know where they were." she tells you. "We haven't seen any new ones in months, but we can never be certain."

Your flood of questions ends with a yawn. You're going to listen to Ant Silver and go get some sleep.

Uh-oh. That tight feeling in your belly is back.

AFTER you go do a peepee.

That feels a lot better.
You go find Thunder Warrior, still in the middle of an epic fight with Pussy Galore. You're able to stop the fight and bring Thunder Warrior back with you to your fort.
But then you remember that Soft sleeps on your fort, too. So, you decide to take the fort down so Soft has a place to sleep. It takes some hard work, but now you have all your stuff back!
And Soft's bed is pretty comfy, too...
You crawl up on it and yawn.
Really... comfy...

You're in the warm, wet, dark place again.
The thumping noise above you is a little faster now, and you're bouncing around a bit harder.
"I can't believe it!" the loud voice from all around you says. "She's here, she's truly here!"
"Calm yourself, my love...!" the other voice says, sounding like it's a bit farther away than last time. "And wait for me! I don't want to lose you in this crowd!"
The rocking and bouncing slows down.
"I'm sorry... I'm just so, so excited! I never thought I'D have the chance to meet royalty."
A gasp comes from all around you. "THERE SHE IS!!" the closer voice says. The bouncing gets faster again. You hear other voices all around you, cheering about something.
Then you hear a new voice that you haven't heard before. It's a girl pony, and she sounds really strong and serious.

"Attention, citizens," she says, "I have called you all here today because I have an announcement to make... one that weighs heavily upon my heart."
The cheering voices are mumbling now. They sound confused, even scared.
"In lieu of certain... recent events that have called into question the effectiveness of our ruling system," the serious voice says, "my council and I have come to a decision: effective immediately, I will be abdicating my reign over our beloved princessdom."
The voices around you yell out. Some sound mad, others sound sad, and some others sound scared.
But there's one voice that cuts through all the others, like it's whispering right into your ear.
And booping your muzzle.
"Wake up, Buddy. Come with me."
