/mlp/ can support up to 144 threads at any given time.

At the time of writing, there are 51 generals and 14 CYOAs currently active. This totals in at 65 total threads that can be considered as "shit-tier generals and autist trash" (according to OP).

In percentage terms, this is 45%.

So 45% of /mlp/ is currently trash, meaning that you have the remaining 65% all to yourself. In raw numbers that's 79 threads where you can do what you like.

So what's your excuse, OP? The majority of the board ISN'T autistic trash, yet you waste your time making threads like this?

Exaggeration to make a point. All the good threads die off within an hour or two. The only constants are the aforementioned. The day I can come here and not see one of these on the first page I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Shit, I generally lurk anyhow. Consider this a form of a grievance toward the slow decline of the board over the years.
>>
>>30092647
>All the good threads die off within an hour or two.
A trend that has existed since the dawn of 4chan. The more popular a thread is, the faster it fills up and the faster it hits the auto-sage threshold.

The thing is, sometimes these threads are so popular and so successful they are continued in a second thread, and then a third, and then a fourth, and people are enjoying the topic of conversation so much they decide to keep the threads going.

And hey-presto, a general is born.

>Consider this a form of a grievance toward the slow decline of the board over the years.
I feel you, bro, I really do, but making threads about it isn't gonna solve shit. Put your mind to something creative and make a thread you think people will enjoy.
If you're unlucky enough, people will enjoy it so much they'll make a general out it.

There is no Weekly Spitfire thread as far as I'm aware. If it doesn't exist by now, it shall never be so. Such is my lament. Though I do enjoy the Sunset Shiggydiggy thread.

My interests are too far spread and niche to really conjure up a thread that would be generally accepted by /mlp/. And those that do fit the bill are already here, i.e., FoE threads, Writefags, Drawfags and TopCunt threads.

*cue tiny violin to play my song*

It just occurred to me that I'm actually opening up on this fucking board and interacting in a sense. Fuck me.
>>
>>30092506
Perhaps you just don't like ponies.
>>
>>30092715
I do, granted not nearly as much as I used to. As I said before, just airing a grievance.
>>
How can that be true when more then 2% are glorious cyoa
>>
>>30092506
How do you even make a good thread?
We used to be able to create content with prompt and shit.
Now we can't even do that anymore.

We've been having great discussion threads about the episodes, but that still only last a couple days, with some people coming in in between.

What do you want Anon? What kind of thread do you think should replace these?
I don't know Anon.
Maybe /mlp/ isn't for you.
>>
>>30093694
We should:
Kill all mods.
Put a lifetime ban on anyone who posts glimmer booping herself.
Lift global rule 15.
Change this to the Equestria girls board.
Ban anyone who says:
>roleplaying delete this
>>
>>30093700
Mods = Gods
Global 15 is the only thing keeping this board alive
Gas all Shitterfags
Prompt threads are roleplaying and should be rightfully banned
>>

CYOAs:

- Stories about ponies, not anon
- Daily dose of content for most of them
- Collaboration with the readers, you can actively participate in something if you like it
- Some nice art
- Impicit rule is to let thread die after 2 days of inactivity

People hate them why again?
>>
>>30092603
>I dont want XYZ general, pls remove
As long as there's interest it will exist. There's still plenty of space on the board to make a "quality" thread that you so crave, but instead, a slot was wasted on bitching.
>>
>>30093718
It's just more fucking fanfiction
I don't come to this board for fanfiction; if I wanted that I'd go to a fanfiction website
>>
>>30093724
Sorry, but I think even 50 mins of episode a week for 3 months doen't give us enough mater to discuss on to fill a board indefinetly. Making up our own shit was bound to happen if we want to talk about ponies daily.

>>30092506

>>
>>30093735

Everything else is accurate and good
>>
>>30093724
Then why the fuck do you even come here?
Go to EQD or some shit
Or just deal with it and only post in the threads discussing the fucking show.
Which, like the other Anons said, is once a week for several months a year.
You're being silly Anon.
>>
>baww stop liking things I don't like
Generals are good. If we made /mlp/ consist almost entirely of generals we wouldn't have to kill threads to ask one question about an ancient episode that nobody remembers anymore. Instead you could just ask it in Old Episode Discussion General. There, you'd find people who enjoy talking about the old episodes, as the people who don't like such things are more easily able to filter it out of their view.
Of course, I'd still want a little bit of elbow room for once-in-a-while threads like Hassenfeld and broad-scope greens that don't fit in any specific general.
HERE'S HOW WE FIX /MLP/:
>Up bump/image limit to be like /vg/
>Have generals use an easily identifiable two-to-five letter string
>Allow roleplaying/prompts
>Actually use the filters to hide threads you don't like
>Stop whining and realise how lucky you are to have a WHOLE FUCKING BOARD to yourself
Just saying, the alternative is we're one general on /trash/. If you keep whining the mods might get frustrated and just nuke this place.
>>
>>30092603

>Every general on /mlp/ prepares to mass-bump to stay alive.
>>
>>30095437
So... a general shitstorm? I'm all for it!
>>
>>30095405
I'm not sure if one thread would be a great idea, because then someone would have to stalk the thread 24/7 if it does get flooded quickly to make the new thread.

I mean, you could just split into catergories though. Like a M6/M8/Whatever waifu thread, a background pony waifu thread, things like that.

Then again, I don't know, I'm drunk.

>>30095425
Please don't. >>30095437 is right on what exactly would happen.

Plus I have enough trouble keeping the few threads I participate in alive.

So what you're suggesting is basically A thread with A1 A2 and A3 in cases where it's needed, but not necessarily constant like the 'parent thread' for that subject.

it should definitely something you feel at least a little comfortable in writing, but i will say i've been dying to read some more 1st person stuff, whether that's from Spitfire or Anons or someone elses POV

Also makes it a little easier to draw stuff when it's 1st person, being able to read their thoughts and feelings and all

>"Well well well, seems like a certain somepony enjoyed that."
>I didn't hear what exactly she said as she was grumbling into the table.
>But I had a feeling it was something along the lines of 'Just shut up.'
>"Soarin likes stallions and you like wing play. Everybody has their thing, it's totally fine."
>I admit, the way I was smiling I looked like a complete idiot, so I'm glad she couldn't see me.
>"I even know what Misty Fly likes..."
>She didn't say it, but she was dying to know now with how her ears perked up and her wings stiffened a bit more.
>I ran my hands back out from under hear wings and slowly kneaded my way up to her neck and began massaging her withers and the bottom of her neck.
>I slowly moved up to her ear and whispered.
>"Misty fly..."
>Her ear twitched again.
>"Likes."
>I heard a sharp intake of breath and grinned.
>"Hot oil and being tied up."
>*FWAP*
>Her wings sprang quickly to attention at the mention of Misty's kink.
>"I figured that might get your attention."
>The way she whimpered was pretty cute, I gotta say.
>The way this pony transformed from hardass to putty in my hands was wonderful.
>"I guess you also get off on fantasizing about a couple of your teammates judging by your reaction. Am I right?"
>She didn't respong right away, but every pony was predictable, in this situation, a silence was usually a yes.
>An extremely embarrassed yes.
>Probably the best part of my job.
>"By the way, if you're wondering, my name's Anon. Be sure to tell your friends about me."

>"By the way, if you want me to keep working on your wings, you might want to let them relax a bit."
>I maintained my work on her neck as her wings began relaxing.
>The music hadn't hanged much, but I knew the next song fairly well.
>An acoustic string bit with singing in some language I didn't speak.
>Vaguely reminded me of scenes from fantasy movies back in my old life.
>She seemed to enjoy it as well as her wings practically fell off splaying themselves across the table.
>The ultimate state of relaxation for pegasi.
>As soon as their wings go limp, they're defenseless.
>Tracing back to where I had been previously, I noticed every knot and tense muscle from the top of her neck, to her wings and down to her tail were all practically gone.
>This was usually the halfway point, and even though she asked for half an hour, it had already been 25 minutes since we started.
>But I didn't mind working late like this.
>Once more I began to work on the base of her wings and underneath on the most sensitive parts.
>All the while, Spitfire softly moaned and whimpered in a state of bliss.
>Using the palm of my hand and my fingers, I rubbed all along the wrist of her left wing taking care not to apply too much pressure and damage the bone.
>After I was satisfied with the left, I performed the same action with the right.
>If I didn't know better, I would've thought she was dead with the lack of reaction.
>Once I finished with that wing, I had to break the bad news to her.
>"Okay Spitfire, you might not like this..."

>A series of mumbling indicated a response, but I didn't hear it very well.
>So I simply assumed she had heard me.
"I'm going to need you to roll over on your back."
>She groaned with obvious displeasure. She REALLY liked me working on her wings.
>It was almost childish the way she sat up, looked at me and laid back down.
>I reached to the cupboard just below the counter I kept the oils and record player on and pulled out a fresh cool pillow.
>"Lift your head up real quick."
>She obeyed and I slid it under to give her some support so I could continue properly.
>I rubbed my thumbs lightly behind her ears to make relax her again.
>It worked almost instantly as she let out a sigh and sank into the pillow.
>Content with this, I grabbed the oil once more and trailed a bit up from her chest and onto her neck.
>Just as I had done before, I kneaded and worked my way into the muscles of her neck, chest and shoulders.
>I made zig-zag motions with my palms across her chest to really dig into the deep tissues.
>She had definitely done quite a bit of running with how much compact muscle was contained here and in her shoulders.
>I had figured there'd be much less with the ability to fly and all.
>But that didn't matter, I had a job to do and I was going to do it.
>She was actually smiling now, compared to when she first walked in.
>I definitely preferred this side of her.
>It hadn't really registered before, but now that I got a good look, she was obviously very pretty.
>Up until now, I really hadn't seen any of the ponies in a matter of how attractive they could be.
>She smelled really nice too, and I know it wasn't the oils I was using.
>The oil didn't smell of cinnamon with a hint of ozone and petrichor.
>Truth be told, it was absolutely delightful, I didn't even notice that I had stopped working until she piped up.
"Uh, Anon? You alright?
>Any confidence I had earlier quickly dissipated.
"Oh yeah, sorry. You... You smell really nice. I got a little distracted."

>"HA! Who's the embarassed one now?"
"Yeah, yeah. It's not my fault you smell nice."
>She smirked knowing she had won that tiny battle.
>She wasn't about to win this war, however, I still had some tricks up my sleeve.
>After I finished with her chest and forelegs I moved to her side, opting to save the hooves for last.
>That was another signature part of my services.
>I coated my hands with another good amount of oil and took to massaging her flanks.
>Just like the rest of her body, they were nearly stone hard.
>Nothing I couldn't handle though.
>It still confused me how the cutie mark of a pony could be just a tad more sensitive than the rest of their flank.
>Just another area to focus a little bit more on.
>As I kneaded the sinuous fibers beneath her coat, I heard a slight giggle.
"What?"
>She craned her neck up to look at me.
>"You're the first pon-thing? Oh whatever. You're the first one that's touched my flank without hesitation.
>I had completely forgotten that some ponies considered their cutie marks to be a bit more intimate than the rest of their body.
"Ah, well I've never really had any trouble with it. Just kinda came naturally. Also, the word you were looking for is person, but it's ok, most ponies don't know that."
>She let her head sink back into the pillow and I continued.
>I made my way around and began rubbing the inner portion of her leg, making sure not to go too low and risk a lawsuit.
>Though there was some newfound temptation to do so.
>I suppose she felt the same as her leg twitched a little in response.
>50 minutes had passed, definitely over her half hour request, but I wasn't going to charge extra.
>It was my fault after all since I was taking my time.
>I was certainly enjoying this a lot more than usual.
>After I finished with that leg, I again repeated the steps on her other leg and eliciting the same response once I got to the inside.
>The music ended around the time I finished on her leg.
>I was almost done anyway.
>>
>>30097389

Maximum creep detected.

Good job describing the actual massage, though. Got all the nice tinglies reading it. Do you know about massage-type stuff specifically?

I was going more for the awkward apologetic tone, but creepy works too.

I actually don't know jack about massaging save for the fact they use oils and music. Only ever had one and that was because I figured I'd treat myself after getting back from Afghanistan.

>There was only one thing left for me to do, and it was probably the easiest part.
>I took my spot near the top of the table once more, making sure my hands were dry.
>Taking her front hooves in my hand, I began tracing patterns with my thumbs along the bottom.
>Just like most pony quirks, I didn't understand why it worked so well, but it did.
>She was still laying there smiling blissfully.
>She really needed this, she might be the first who ended up like this after nearly an hour.
>Heck, even Soarin never was quite this happy.
>I had finished with her front hooves and was nearly done with her rears when a thought occurred to me.
'She might become a regular now.'
>That thought alone was almost enough to keep me grinning until I finished and knew I had to let her know the session was over.
"Well Spitfire, looks like we're done here."
>She let out a groan, clearly upset with the news.
>"Really?"
"Yeah, there's not much more I can do without likely breaking some laws and you asked for thirty minutes and ended up with an hour."
>She sat up once more and yawned.
>"Well that sucks, I'm gonna need to come here a LOT more now."
>I helped her off the table and led her back to the desk where I could process her bill.
"I'm not going to charge you for the extra thirty minutes, consider it on the house."
>She probably wouldn't have cared either way, but it was my selfish reasons that caused it.
>"Well in that case, how about this. You come over to my place tomorrow night and we can work something out. Sound good?"
>She slid a small bag of bits onto the counter and reached for a pen and paper that had been left on the desk.
>She scribbled something on it then tucked it underneath the bag and trotted out the door without giving me a chance to reply.
>I picked up the bag and looked at the note she had written. Turns out it was just her address.
>At that point I only had one question.
"How the hell am I gonna get to Cloudsdale?

Pro pastebin tip: Set your stories to "Private" for the first few hours of their life, then set them to public. This will bypass the story going on the front page of pastebin and prevent unwarranted views from curious normies and bots, and will instead give you a much better indication of the people that are actually hunting down and reading your stories on purpose, not by accident.
