Stray Shot's Journal Entry
Day 20

Well, I've just finished my second 10 days as a pony. I still want to go back home, but unfortunately I feel like that's gonna have to be a long term object (and, if I had to guess, an expensive one. Already saving bits now!)

Lessee... other stuff that's happened. Oh, I went with a group to secure a gem field near to the town for more resources. We were attacked by some kinda dinosaur birb, and then we had to take down a crystal golem (I didn't know shit like this even existed). The plan we came up with, in retrospect, was pretty damn stupid in my opinion, but Bit seemed to think it was the only option. She wasn't the one who accidentally flew right into the golem's face. He almost squashed me like a bug! I couldn't move, I was so stuck against the hard crystal. Luckily, at the last second a griffon named Peyote (who I have worked with a couple of times before) swooped in and swiped me away at the last second.

I managed to shoot off one of it's limbs, but right after that, holy shit! Tea Time shot off some kinda death star type cannon laser! It totally annihilated the golem! She was passed out for a couple of days. I felt kinda bad for sort of botching the whole thing... I went and brought a bottle of rum to Tea Time in gratitude.

Where did I get the rum? Well, the other day Addy recruited me to go with her to some shipwreck she had seen when she woke up in Equestria, and showed us a newspaper clipping of what she was talking about. I've been wanting to see the ocean near here, and especially a shipwreck, so I went.

Long story short, we fought a skellington crew, but Dandelion managed to place the source of their rage into a slot and made them all fall to a pile of bones. When we unlocked the captain's quarters, an Equestrian adventurer-type pega named Buck came out. He had the whole adventurer get up, with a scimitar and everything! He booked it pretty quick though, not that I blame him...

Oh, I found Captain Red Hoof's hat! It's pretty sweet. Down in the cargo hold I managed to find 10 full bottles of pristine Equestrian rum! I could barely stuff them all in my saddlebags, but it was worth it! I've given one to Tea and still gotta give Addy one, but they're whole fifths!

A demonic presence smashes its way into town, leaving one pony broken and others convulsing with goo from the presence of its sigil! It was met with resistance by the party of Griff Mc Beakface, Homily Sermon, Northern Lights, and Stray Shot who tracked the evil to its source. Corruption threatened to tempt some of these adventurers into making a deal with the proverbial devil, but they prevailed. Or did they???

Rock gator sightings disturb what would be a normal morning of fishing. Griff Mc Beakface and Mich Michelson drove the beast off, but birb hunting groups are being organized by Griff to reduce the population of these animal menaces.

Day 17
Town expansion day! After a poll on where our next conquest would be, it was decided a group would help tame the wilds to our south which have natural gems. Avion, Bit, CobWeb, Dandelion, Peyote (Poncho), Ruin, Stray Shot, Tea Time and Whiskeyjack volunteered for the effort. One dead wyvern, Quetzalcoatl and a crystal golem later, the area is now safe and ripe for civilizing.

Meanwhile in the town, disaster strikes when an incompetent smithy apprentice sets the building alight. Only thanks to the efforts of Daybreak Gannet Homily Sermon was the fire extinguished without any casualties!

The cult of ANCAP strikes! Black and yellow garbed cultists take their message to the town. Ceres Griff Mc Beakface Mich Michelson Mistral investigate, but it's no easy task due to the puzzling trail of breadcrumbs they must follow. To be continued!

A notice posted for Adventures Wanted leads a party fronted by Addy to a shipwreck from the notorious pirate Redhoof! Addy CobWeb Dandelion Flax Stray Shot check out the ruins, braving rock lobsters to get there. Some quick searching unearths the keys to the ship, and they free a trapped treasure hunter. He tells them the curse of the wreck but some quick thinking, stupidity, and luck end up sending the skeleton crew to Davy Jones locker for good. Some booty was found along the way.

A simple foraging adventure held by a pony named Crossfire results in a party composed of Blue Belle Dandelion Griff Mc Beakface Mistral Weathervane find of rope-like vines and bacon scented mushrooms. Along the way they find rare color changing dream sheep that were quickly pounced upon by timberwolves! Our heroes manage to save the sheep and recover them to take as pets. But where did Crossfire go?

A pony known as Daybreak who is getting a longer rap sheet with every passing day tags a dickbutt drawn in charcoal on a guard's home. Grayson wises up to her tricks and tries to get her to fess up. Daybreak bolts and Grayson and Ceres pursue her! They weren't able to catch the vandal this time, but justice will be pending...

Also because OP can't into important links... Spoilered is the character sheet and day tracker that allows you to keep tracking your little ponies day to day activities. Structure of each day follows in route with a basic frame of Morning, Afternoon and Evening shifts. Each shift spent to an activity will grant you a +1 to the progression of that skill to a tier, once hitting a tier you'll be granted a +x amount of whatever the tier is to a total of 5. Along the way you'll gain a special ability that is created between you and the gms.

So if you spent all day on one task you'd gain a +3 towards that skill, but that could lead you to being rather niched in a certain way. Of course as a reminder you don't need to write a thirty page paragraph, a simple I went and did this for the morning will work just fine.

Each activity that you get up to of course leads to you earning bits depending on if it's a worthwhile job to the colony, usually you'll be paid upon the completion of the days work by the owners of the business or the town itself.

If you have any questions go ahead and ask them if you need to!

Yes, you can have a Ruby bladed sword, although, if you want it to have it's magical ability, it has to be activated. Otherwise, you just have a pretty ruby sword.

It's a list for those that'll be working in the mines, or exploring caves, but can also be used as loot for GMs to provide.

Right now, we've decided on having a 3 tier system for those that work the mines/caves/etc. So that an inexperienced newbie is not gonna roll a 100 and get Antidite on his first try, and those with more experience are able to actually get better gems.

Example so far is Tier 1 rolls only a d50, Tier 2 a d80 and Tier 3 a d100

Magical versions of these rocks are actually rare. Most of the time when you roll from this list, you'll be getting a normal stone that can sell for a pretty penny.

Magical rocks are cool and it's a neat way to get non-unicorns a chance to play with magic too. I have an idea for alchemy and potion making as well with the help of the foraging list, but I want to see how this gem shit goes down first.

As of right now, it will be just 3 tiers. Don't want to go complete balls to the wall just yet, and as of right now. So at tier 3 you'll enjoy higher chances of collecting good shit.

It should count. There's not just one source of gems after all, but for now we shoukd keep it small and leave it as a roll list for our current gem mine and loot for quests should GMs choose.

I hope that people will sell and trade gems to collect what they need, and if things go well, in the future the 100 list can be expanded into made up gems with more abilities. Possibly even merging two gems to make a new one. This has potential to be really fun I hope.

Day 22
An Equestrian not from the Embassy visits the town. Razzle Dazzle, a mad scientist unicorn whose talent is magic takes @Addy @Northern Lights @Peyote (Poncho) and @Tea Time into the forest for an experiment. She promises them magic, and they even get cutie marks, but not before magic sapping bugs swarm the party. Northern Lights manages a feat of teleportation back to town with his new talent! But Razzle Dazzle is escorted away by the Embassy for escaping a cutie pox quarantine... Turns out everyone just caught the bug. Oops!!!

Can the princess be trusted? Time will tell!

it was talked about in depth and decided that besides the 3 pony races, only Griffons were shown to have any real numbers to thus be a playable race.

Zebras IDK, you got me there but at least they are an actual confirmed race unlike some of the other suggestions.

At least Zecora is shown to actually act differently and possibly have a much more unique culture, the Crystal ponies dont act differently at all then the Equestrians.

More races would be cool. Fun even. Would not mind being a crystal pony, deer, or kirin. But too many races, especially ones that don't have set mythos, are going to be a bitch to handle like which ones have magic, what kind of magic, etc. This would lead into headcannons being challenged and some of you folks don't like that, thus would argue endlessly over it.
