I used to use Windows Live Mesh to keep my picture collection updated between all my many computers but they closed it down to move to OneDrive. I liked it because it was entirely peer-to-peer; your content wasn't stored in an intermediary server like it was with OneDrive.

I used to use OneDrive for all my images. Then they cut off my storage to 5GB and I had to reupload everything to Box.

install dropbox software on your devices (desktop, laptop, android/iphone, linux) and select the folders you want to sync in the site and you're good to go

So say if you upload something from your Phone to Dropbox, it'll download onto your PC?

both
dropbox software takes care of the sync of local files between different devices
and if something happens on your devices dropbox got your back with the copy on their servers

yes, it does works like this
some android devices might have problems with the local sync, but the vast majority is fine
