I still prefer her with Soarin. They're co-workers which makes crossovers easy and they have a history of some rather pleasant interaction. Future material might use it to create some nice stories of quasi-shipping scenarios.
Zephyr would work as an ironic choice of a lover but I wouldn't wish that on her. She deserves better than having someone as a love of her life as a joke.

Not sure about Quibble. Characters voiced by has-been celebrities can't become regulars and even if you found his role and interaction with RD cute I don't think there's too much to his character.

1. Dash being a Wonderbolt give her a lot of opportunities to bond with Soarin as much as Discord with Fluttershy

2. They were noticed by a IDW senpai already and gained one comic

1, Soarin has least amount of actual development and interaction with Dash. It's basically a CheerieMac with the background shipping and we know how CheerieMac ended in canon. Only script based interaction could work.

3. By being a wonderbolt they will have to keep a professional relationship without any romance just like in military.

1 Zephyr gained episode by himself which makes him more noticable to new writers

2. He is canonically at least interested in Dash.

3. By being a brother to her childhood friend he will also have an opportunity to grow closer to Dash and possibly turn Fluttershy into Dash sister in law.

1. He's a douche which may turn him into a buttjoke like Flash Sentry in the eyes of writers.

2. Dash openly rejects him which may further discourage writers from trying to turn him into serious love interest.

1. Quibble can't fly which might be the main problem for a pegasus passionate about flying and living on a cloud.

2. Patton is a celebrity voice actor which mean he won't have too many appeareance beside cameos. He might dissappear as Cheese Sandwich.


The best combination would be a pegasus who is both a wonderbolt in Dash team, was a Daring Do fan with own episode and also Fluttershy's relative.
