I'll never understand this opinion, what Pinkie episodes have been bad? She often has the better appearances of any of the mane 6 IMO, and it's not just because I'm in love with her. The main complaint I see it being boiled down to is that people think she screams too much now, which is a voice acting thing, not a character thing

It's not her own g.o.a.t. episodes. It's the episodes of others she appears in. The screaming is the most readily noticeable behavioural intensification. Outright ignoring social cues was something she only showed rarely and without any negative effects on the emotional well-being of others.

If I would rewatch all the episodes she appears in I could make a better point. All I can say now is she's the better of the M6 and she's been deteriorating from what we saw and felt first in S1. It's probably like watching loveable couch potato Homer becoming a dead lazy retard. Similar superficial recognizability, but ultimatel the details give them off.

If Pinkie isn't the star of the episode, yeah she's going to probably just say some jokes and mention parties or cake.....if Twilight isn't the star, she's likely just going to be nerdy and neurotic, if Rarity isn't the star she's likely gonna just say darling a lot and make a reference to fashion, etc etc etc, it's just what happens when you have an ensemble cast and often need to cram all the characters into one 22 minute episode
