>What's this: a Choose Your Own Adventure story about a giant mare and her friends, defending the megapolis from hordes of sea monsters!

>Previous thread: >>30015357 (part one of this issue)
>Catch up in the archive: www.anonpone.com/bmh

>Life ain't easy for the millions of little ponies in the continent of Granda. Huddled up in massive cities called MegaStables, they fend off weekly assaults of giant creatures with help from their best weapon: Big Mares.
>Every year, new Big Mares learn to protect themselves and the land that birthed them. A few weeks ago, young #21 was born out of a vat, her mind full of questions.
>After a month of harsh battles, 21 begins to understand the importance of friendship and courage, as well as being huge. She seeks to learn the truth about the increasingly bigger monsters, to stop this menace once and for all...

>Previously in Issue #4, you adopted a giant fire breathing turtle.
>Now, you have to figure out what to do with it.
>>
"Oh no!" You quickly grab the bat pony between the tips of your wings. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it to waste the research teams' money! I thought we could find some practical application to it!"
>"Such as...?" Fang raises an eyebrow.
"Well, it emits tons of heat, so we could use that to generate power? Gasp! Maybe put a thermal plant on top of its shell! That way Brago would remain cold and happy and we'd get to use its power!"
>"Brago...? Dear, did you give it a name?"
"I had some hopes..."
>"Listen, I may or may not understand your reasons, but the one thing I know is the hardships this station has gone through" Fang gets out of your grip and returns to his platform. "Do you know why there's three of you in this city? That's to make up for the lack of personnel in the area! Until you were conceived and put in that vat, we had to deal with even more problems!"

>"But what if we could harness the turtle, as Twenty-One pointed out?" Illumina comes to aid you. "Perhaps make it a research vantage point, to allow F-Corp to graciously donate more personnel..." she winks at the bat pony.
>"I'm fairly sure F-Corp would rather ask to bring it to them. No way they would let us keep it."
>"Hmm... they could, if we make sure we can tame it" Felix interrupts. "Say, Fang, I have a couple ideas for what we could do... in the meantime, keep the watch resources to a minimum and let the fillies handle it" he points at the three of you.
"And start thinking of ways to profit out of it!" You pout. "We could make a landmark out of him, maybe sell merchandise!"
>"Ugh, the prospect of having to deploy all these things..." the bat pony's head shakes groggily. "I certainly hope you ladies are ready to work with a token amount of help until we can figure this out. Until then, you'll be instrumental in keeping that... 'Brago' under reins. Now, I've taken enough of your time, Ivory Star is waiting" he leaves along with Felix, platforms intertwined in a purely aromantic business viewpoint.
>"At least we get to keep the turtle for another few days" Storm shrugs. "Don't worry, first thing I'll do is check on him, and call if anything goes wrong. Anything you'd like me to do while I'm out there?"
>>
>>30051218
Well I don't think it would be a problem if f-corp themselves took care of the monster.
>>
>>30051218
Nothing else I can think of Storm. Maybe see if Brago poops diamonds?

We should go see the boss now.
>>
>>30051218
Give him pets.

I really like how Felix is almost like a dad figure to the three of us. Now he has to deal with three big girls and their first pet.
>>
>>30051323
Felix and fangs are like dads. I just hope they're straight.

N-not that we like them or anything.
>>
>>30051336
>I just hope they're straight.
I hope dime fang is domming felix on the regular.
>>
>>30051381
B-but that would mean We'd never get to fug either of them when we make them big!
>>
>>30051400
>Not wanting to husbando Firegazer
Sad. That reminds me, we need to talk to him some more.

>Play Colts Big Mare Magazine Edition

>Featuring all your favorite big mares doing all the right things for the people of Granda~

I bet there are some people who dress up mares to look like Big Mares.
>>
>>30051456
I kind of think we should make some pornography of ourselves and put it on the internet.
>>
>>30051545
Screw that. We should become a porn director, maybe we could film some of the scientists.
>>
>>30051238
>>30051317
>>30051323
"Just make sure he's alright, give him some pets to calm him down... maybe you can see if he poops diamonds, I don't know" you shrug. "It would solve a lot of our problems, that's for sure. Maybe F-Corp themselves should take care of him, after all..."
>"We'll find out soon enough, I'm sure" the mare nuzzles you, then heads to the lift, while Illumina and you go to the pegasus' room. In there, you're patched through to an audio only call.
>"Ah, there you are! What kept you so long? I missed five meetings!" Ivory Star's dainty, yet commanding voice blasts through the intercom.
"Sorry miss president, we were busy with recent monster activity and what not" you speak up.
>"Ooh, of course, of course... mind you, I'm not mad or anything, only worried, worried, haha, ha!" The voice sings back. "Well, I've got good news for you: several big mares already accepted to the transfer program!"
"Awesome!"
>"That's fantastic, miss Star" Illumina replies. "Any news about Titania?"
>"Titania will be glad to teach Solar Storm for a period of one month, dear, and a schedule is being redacted to conform to the needs of every big mare involved."

(1/2)
>>
You know the more I think about it the more I like the idea of extensive wind powers. If we have full control over wind it avoids the problem of being to boring that just plain wing gusts had.
>>
>>30051563
>"Yess..." the pegasus shakes her rear on the bed. "Thank you so much, miss president!"
>"Yes, well, the project gathered more attention than usual, when we decided to make it a bit more interesting" Ivory Star explains. "We'll do short transfers of up to one month, with the possibility of bidirectional exchanges. An assistant will ask you a couple of questions right now, I just wanted to be present to give you the news, and tell you that we at BMHP central are quite excited about what you have to offer! Smooth sailings out there~!" With these last words, the communication stops.
>A few seconds afterwards, the channel opens up again, this time with the image of a tired looking, young unicorn mare.
>"Hi, yes, Dew Rose of the logistics branch of the BMHP here. I'd like to explain our current plan to you" she reads from a paper. "Starting one month from now, big mare #18, Solar Storm will be transfered to MegaStable 1 for special training, and in return, big mare #5, Shadow Coak will transfer to your MegaStable to cover up and offer training to both of you. This will determine the viability of future transfers, so do you agree to it? Miss Solar Storm already signed up, for the record."
>"Nothing wrong with it so far, right?" Illumina asks you.
>>
>>30051574
Sounds like a plan.
>>
>>30051566
And the more I head about it the less appealing it becomes. There are many more alternate abilities that I fine interesting like the spicy breath or the minor body alteration. Control over the winds sound like and innate ability a Pegasus should be able to perform any who.
>>
>>30051574
Sounds coolie. Say, you look like you could use a quick nap. Maybe a 20 minute long one. Have you ever considered bringing a pillow with you to work?
>>
>>30051574
Sounds good to me.
>>
>>30051574
How long until our patrol?
>>
>>30051690
Probably later in the day. The Director said that Storm would be on patrol.
>>
>>30051607
I prefer the idea of full wind control but I would be happy with elemental breath as well. I would not want it if it was just one element though, It would have to be full elemental breath. fire, wind, electricity, ice.
>>
>>30051759
Maybe poison as well but that may be to much.
>>
>>30051584
>>30051630
>>30051646
>>30051690
"Sounds good, yeah, so I agree" you relay to Dew Rose. "Say, you could use a nap. Don't they let you take rests on central, take a pillow and blankie?"
>"Ruh... rest? Excuse me, I'm not familiar with..." she gives you a weirded out look, to which you reply with a surprised face. Then, she smiles. "Aha, I was pulling your leg! I look like this because I've been working extra hours! I want to take a vacation with my coltfriend to the frozen mountains, to do ski."
>"Quite the charmer" Illumina taps her chest. "In that case, I agree as well. Thank you darling."
>"You're welcome. Your private numbers have been given to Miss Shadow Cloak to contact you a few moments from now, and we'll have the exact times of departure and arrival soon. BMHP central out" with that, the screen goes back to the screensaver.
>"Well, this is going fine, it seems. Now if only we can make any sense of the turtle, it will be dandy" Illumina lays her head on the pillow. "Say, what kind of socks did you get Storm?"

"You'll have to ask her" you poker her belly, causing the mare to giggle and shake her many tons of meat and bone. "I'm going back to my room, kay?"
>"See ya" the pegasus remains in her bed as you make your way back to your bed. In there, you contact Firegazer about your patrol schedule.
>"Schedule is back to normal, miss Twenty-One, so you don't have to leave until later in the evening" the colt replies.
"Thanks, Firegazer. Did you hear? They signed us up for transfer program. We're going to have a new big mare around soon!"
>"Oh... OH!" The pegasus suddenly realizes. "W-Well, regulation says operators are bound to big mares during all of their work life under normal circumstances, s-so that means I get to travel around too... hmm?" He stops and looks at another screen. "You have an incoming call, ma'am... it's from an official BMHP line, verified as the big mare, Shadow Cloak. I'll put you through."
>The screen fades to black, and it opens with the image of a mare that you remember very well.
>"Hello, kitty!" She smiles coy at you. "Looks like we're going to meet very, very soon! Are you excited? I'll make sure you learn from one of the best ~".
>>
>>30051859
Sounds like a plan. I look forward to pummeling monsters with you.
>>
>>30051859
Im 21, nice to meet you! Looking forward to it!

>>

>Yes, that face, that smug, cat-like grin. You couldn't forget your brief underwater encounter, when you went for a swim under the waters of the Cradle Bay. When you thought you'd be fighting some unholy monstrosity, she appeared, gracefully booping you and telling you to keep a secret. Then, you got that email... 'kitty'. This must be her!
>For a moment, you feel your face convulse with the need to tell her, to ask questions. However, you play it safe for now.
"H-Hi! I'm Twenty-One, nice to meet you! I look forward to smashing monsters with you as well!" You can feel your heartbeat becoming a steady wardrum, as the big mare judges your every word.
>"So eager... fantastic! Well, you can dial this number back and call me whenever you'd like, and a month from now or so we'll be able to meet in person... again" the last word comes as an incredibly quiet whisper, however it sends a chill down your spine.
"Ggh..." you can't help it anymore. "You. It was you, I knew it. How...?" You stop and reformulate the question. "You will tell me, right? You'll tell me what you were doing" you face her seriously.
>"I will" she nods. "But not now."
>She's clearly in control of this conversation. You must throw her off, by yelling something nonsensical, and possibly lewd!
"I LIKE CO-!"
>"Bye-bye, kitty! Stay safe!" She waves a hoof with the smuggest grin you've beheld in a month of life, and the call ends.
"T-The nerve!" You drop your muzzle on the pillow. "So it WAS her! Son of a...!" you pummel the pillows for a while, your hooves strong enough to rip apart layers of rock, however gently treating the pillows as punching bags. There's a couple of hours to lunch and then a few more to patrol, and your body feels hot with rage, cheated and in need of something to do. What should you try to keep this smug, stupid face out of your memory?
>>
>>30052081
No, don't.
>>
>>30052116

Masturbate.
>>
>>30052148
Think about your dream of giant Felix and how he could've railed you against the bed.
>>
>>30052114
Perfect opportunity to talk with Firegazer. He's been our operator for about a month and we know almost nothing about him. Call him up and ask him about himself. How did he get this job, does he like the job, what does he like to do, interests, family, ect...
>>
>>30052046
Because somebody will be listening.
>>
>>30052114
I know they don't want to tell us about all the big mares but surely they would fill us in on the one we will be working with.
I am excited though if this chick can teleport she would know all the big mares and we can get our list.
I think we should contact the robotics department about a little pony drone.
>>30052176
alternatively do this.
>>
>>30052114
Masturbate, think about fucking that smirk off her face.
>>
>>30052176
Better idea. Let's break out the dildo and think about Firegazer.
How he takes care of 21 and probably needs a nice big mare to cuddle him...

I'm kidding about the clop. If would be nice to get to know our operator. That is unless he's on his break we should call him later.

>>30052114
Or maybe we can see if we can get into contact with the robotics team and see if there's anyway we can get into contact with them. And maybe the other teams as well. The monster R&D team are most likely busying themselves with the giant turtle.
>>
>>30051759
Dude. What about straight-up lightning/electricity powers?
>>
>>30052250
We really need to exercise our natural pegasi magic.
>>30052114
Check internet or call up mom about pegasi powers. It's been a while since we last talked to her.
>>
>>30052250
So like the full control of wind but a different element.
I dunno If it was gonna be extensive wind seems best. If we were forced into a single elemental breath though I would choose electricity.
>>
>>30052301
Think about the leg up we would have if we could just shocky them.

We seriously need to decide on a power and a name soon.
>>
>>30052301
Don't pegasi naturally have mastery over weather?
>>
>>30052337
Yes but not to the extent of full wind powers like I am thinking.
I wanna go full divine sandstorm.
>>
>>30052322
>We seriously need to decide on a power and a name soon.
The leaders seem to be full wind control (possibly with sharp feathers to go with it), multiple elemental breaths and limited shapeshifting.
>>
>>30052371
But we can already do that.

We only need to wait a few more days for the wings for the wings to fully develop. Then it's off to super flappy times.
>>
>>30052390
Another strawpoll?

What was the beef with a few anons for the shape shifting again? If it's about 'oh it's too OP' that's what the QM is for. Fins would probably scale the challenge to meet the abilities. But that's my guess.
>>
>>30052394
I really really think you are overestimating how good our natural pegasi wind control will be.
I am still curious how much wind we can put out with a flap though, even if the idea to make that our power got shot down hard we might be able to naturally make enough for it to still be a little useful.
>>
>>30052412
Personally I don't want anything that could be a shortcut to a smaller vagina.
>>
>>30052422
>naturally
No doubt about it

>small reignber horse makes tornado

>>30052422
That's the beauty of it. It's up to Fins over how much control we have over it.

If you're only worried about shmerl vagoogoo's then having polymorphic powers sound aight.

>First of all, you masturbate. Ain't done nobody much harm. Except maybe if a big mare accidentally dropped a dildo on unsuspecting ponies. These mildly disturbing thoughts don't stop you from enjoy being railed by what basically amounts to yourself.
>Next, you call Firegazer. You've been a month in this station and don't know anything about the colt, you realize. Time to change that, on the interest of making friends, and more so if they're cute stallions.
>"M-Me? Oh gosh..." he reacts shyly. "I don't know... what would you like to know?"
"Just anything you'd like to tell me. How did you get this position? Have any family on the city? Hobbies, likes, dislikes, I just want to give you some appreciation after how you've been working for me so diligently."
>"Oh, please, I just... okay!" The pegasus moves his chair closer to the screen. "I suppose I should say, first of all, that thist wasn't my choice career. I finished a degree in telecommunications, hoping to work for some TV network or something... then this center opened, and ads for qualified personnel began to make the rounds... when my family saw the pay, they urged me, heh."
"Was it easy to get the job?"
>"Goodness, no! Several tens of thousands of ponies applied to all positions, and only a few dozen of us made it in! It's worth it, though, we feel a bit under pressure with the lack of staff, but everypony here is more than capable to do their jobs."
"I heard there's a problem with staff, yeah..."
>You keep talking, and you learn that Firegazer has his parents and younger sister, who's finishing a degree in applied electronical systems, in MegaStable 5, and they meet often to catch up and have lunch. The colt seems happy with his life, and invites you to talk to him again any time you want.

>By the time you're done, you notice something's moving along the line of potted plants and trees in your room.
"Mom! How come I didn't see you?" You approach Feather Bed, standing on the shelf with a ton of watering cans.
>"Oh hun, I didn't want to bother you while you talked to your coltfriend!" The mare laughs.
"H-He's not my...! Mooom!"
>"Oh, shush, I know, but he very well could be" she waves a hoof. "How's your day going, sweetie? I heard you captured a giant turtle, I'm so very proud of you!" She lands on your muzzle for the customary round of huggles.
"Hah, yeah, about that... say mom, would you like to come outside with me after lunch and have some flying practice? I feel I don't exercise my pegasus ancestry near enough."
>"I'd be delighted! But remember to nap for two hours to get the most aerodynamic digestion" she boops you.
>After a hearty lunch and the recommended nap, you and Feather Bed take the lift, an hour earlier than your scheduled patrol, for some extra time in the clouds. As soon as you're out, you take to the skies, and your mother follows you with surprising ease.
"Wow mom, your flow's totally whack!"
>"You younguns and your silly internet language..." she blushes. "Let's go all the way to those clouds!" She points way up in the sky.
"C-Can we make it?"
>"Of course!"
>After an extended vertical dash, you manage to land on the clouds. Your hooves sink ever so slightly in their heavenly texture, sustaining your massive weight incredibly well, although a bit cramped.
>"Now, you need to learn how to buck clouds and make it rain, so get to practice! If the cloud breaks, I'll be very impressed!" Feather Bed urges you to try.

(2/3)
>>
>>30052484
Or ask the scientist about other big pegasi mares.
>>
>>30052489
>You spend an eternity flying around the cloud, kicking it with all your power, but the damn thing doesn't break!
>"Don't just kick it with force! Do it with pegaforce!" Your mother teaches you.
"The hell if I know what that is!"
>"Goodness, I didn't raise a filly to be this rude to her mother!"
"I-I'm sorry mom, I just, just...!"
>"Shh, I know, I know" she lands on top of your head. "It's hard, isn't it? the weather control and firefighters are highly trained ponies, making sure there are no big electrical storms or large droughts in the natural spaces. Just like your father was!"
"Dad used to do this?" Your eyes narrow.
>"Of course! He could buck this huge cloud into submission in an evening if he wanted to! And I know you will, just like him. For now, just push it away with your wings, come on!"
>You work on creating a gust of wind with your wings, and even putting your all in it, the cloud moves quite slowly. You're certain that it's not so much your natural power, as the cloud being quite dense. Guess you should have paid more attention in weather control class in your fake memories, but screw that boring class anyway.
>After the workout, you help Feather Bed return to the facility, and begin your patrol. You should dedicate some time to visit Brago and the ponies keeping him under watch. The temptation is great... should you make a quick route around the city and then leave? Or just make your visit to the desert a passing one?

A thick, veiny post to end the night full and content. Back tomorrow at the same hour!

>As tempting as it is, you should do your job. Last time Brago showed up while you were away, and you'd hate for it to happen again, so you start carefully measuring the city from the air, and selecting various neglected districts to patrol.
>Your immense presence is quite the surprise for the denizens of these areas, in a city this big it might not be that usual to see a big mare every day. There's so much to cover, but invigorated by your aerial practice, you spend your time well, learning new places.
>After you're done, you head towards the general direction of the lift, but instead take to the skies and into the desert. In the distance, you can already see the shell of your pet monster.
"Yoohoo!" You fly around Brago, his head raising with passivity. "Hi Brago, have you been good? Who's a good pet, yesh you are!" You landon his head and squeeze your thighs against his neck. The turtle rears his head towards the sky and breathes crimson fire. "Nice! Any problems so far?" You descend and ask the ponies posted nearby. There's just a hoofull of them.

>"His behavior is par for the course with the reports on the primordial turtle species we collected" the bat pony mare, who seems to be in charge of the post, gives you a read through. "As we expected, it eats just about any old rock, and poops mildly fertile sediment. Give it five hundred years and you might even see plants grow in the desert."
"That's fantastic, isn't it? Any chance to monetize that?"
>"Oh yes, very much so. Any sort of natural fertilizer always sells well on the agricultural business."
"Thanks a lot for the report, miss..."
>"Oh, I'm Saffron Honey, from the R&D team" she makes a hoof shaking motion in the air. "Pleased to help, specially with a live monster on the field!"
>"Excuse me, make way, coming through...!" Another pony pushes his way past the scientists and merrily bumps Saffron away with his rump. He's an earth pony colt with an odd lab coat, burn and torn in places, and thick goggles on top of his head. "Hi lass, Tailspin here, of the robotics team. Say, you look like a bright filly, what do you think about potentially awesome rocket science experiments?" His eyes and mouth narrow progressively as he talks, becoming excited.

I wonder if there's some gland in Brago that produces all that flame. I'm thinking there's an organ sack that produces a fire when exposed to oxygen, or when expelled from his maw there's something that functions as a match to light the liquid. or the fire is of the magical nature. If it's liquid it would be cool if there was a safe method to extract it.

"You mean, classic, run of the mill combustion propelled rockets?" You raise a brow. "I don't see why not. What's the question about?" You look at him. He can't be much older than you'd be, if you had grown up the normal way. Twenty, twenty some years old. Yet, he's in charge of a research team.
>"Well, you see, my team is researching some new kind of rocket fuel that will make space vessels real. None of that warp speed gimmicky shit, the real deal" the colt explains passionately, while the bat pony slaps her face with a hoof. "We got a pretty strong formula, but we'd like big mare help to test it, see how it holds out."
"Why would you want to make them? Sending somepony to the moon?"
>"Of course!" Tailspin explodes with anticipation. "No offense, but this planet's finished! We need to send all ponykind to the next inhabitable body, yep, that's what we get paid for!"
"Wouldn't you rather do stuff to help us down here? Like, get me a super sized rocket launcher" you ask, hopeful. "Or maybe a drone? I've been wanting to ask you guys about making me a pony shaped robot to move around."
>"Actually, we'll be down to making just about anything, really" Tailspin chews on air slowly, it's a bit creepy. "If you get in contact with us at the lab, we can make all sorts of deals! Yeah, and explosions too!"
>"Please don't..." Saffron murmurs, teeth clenched and eyes looking sideways.
>"Anyway, whenever you have a moment, call my team in the center. They'll get you a prototype" the colt finishes his sentence and, as if something else caught his attention, turns around and walks away, whistling a tune.

"What an odd pony..." you look at him go.
>"Yeah... I apologize in his behalf, he's just that kind of pony."
"Are you close with him?"
>"Oh, yes, he's my boyfriend" she shakes her head. "He's much more level headed when relationships are involved, but his passion for burning stuff and making it fly can be dangerous. Please take care if you want to ask the robotics team for a favor."
>After that, you hear some excerpts of what the monster research team has collected on Brago. It seems he generates some sort of natural substance in his body, of semi liquid nature when in contact with air, which mixed with a solid base of rocks, generates extremely bizarre processes by which he can create fire and build proteins, as well as extract minerals and other components out of the chemical reactions involved, the sun and the sediment. You leave after being assured that they'll do anything they can to figure out how to make him work a profit for the company, then head back to town.
>However, when you reach the site, you find there's less traffic than usual. Very few ponies using the mechanical platforms across the wall rails, and there's an odd silence, almost creeping you out. Usually, there's the buzz of distant activity, the soft thumping of other big mares, but now there's nothing, and it's the middle of the evening.

>The lights are still working, and the platforms moving, so there's not a power outage. Still, you've grown accustomed to this home of yours, and this is no ordinary amount of ponies on the hallways.
"Excuse me!" You stop one of them. "I've noticed there's very few ponies around. Is there an event going on, or something...?"
>"Oh, when I went past your room, there were the other big mares and all these other ponies! They're, like, on a protest or something!" The young scientists shrugs and then goes on his way.
"Protest...?" This doesn't sound good. Maybe Dime Fang had enough of this turtle nonsense. Gasp! Or maybe Illumina and Storm are going to start the inglorious big mare rebellion. "N-No, Storm, you were the chosen one...! Ugh, what am I thinking" you poke your forehead. It seems the intense sun has given you somewhat of a stroke.
>After walking across more empty hallways, you reach the source of the commotion: Illumina and Storm, along with a large number of little ponies, form a crowd in front of your room door. And you can see a particularly color matching group sitting right next to it, with candles of different sizes.

"Oi! What's going on in here?" You call for attention.
>"Oh, dear!" Your mother leaves the crowd and flies up to you. "We've been trying these gentlecolts to leave, but I'm afraid it will prove a bit difficult."
>"Yeah, they seem to want to talk to you" Storm speaks in a sour tone. "How did they even get in here, nopony knows."
>"I'm telling you, this is your fault, as lead researcher, to not have a crew assigned to lift security!" Dime Fag yells at Felix on the ground.
>"And I'm tellin' you, we can't spare a single pony! We were already tight up the neck before the turtle, now you're askin' me for what hasn't been done here in over a year!" The unicorn replies, both ponies butting heads, literally. At this rate, they'll end up fighting in the very spot.
>You look closer, trying to identify the perpetrators of this noise. Yup, those crimson robes are unmistakable.
>"Mmm mmm calcinatus veredictum... heed our words, oh almighty mare of the name Twenty-One! Heed us, for goodness' sake!" The raspy voice of Quartermaster Asmodeus pierces your ears. "For we are but flesh, and have sinned, leaving the shelter in an act of misjudgement, and lo, thou hast decreed our downfall on public television! Pleease, we beg your forgiveness! And yours! And yoooours!" He points at Storm and Illumina. He doesn't seem to be aware you've just arrived.
>"I'm telling you, I don't care!" Storm yells back.
>"I just want them to leave, so I forgave them, but they're thick as bricks" Illumina facehoofs. "Maybe you can get through to them, Twenty-One."

>Sigh, here we go again. Clearly, the best way to get through to these guys is to put on a show for them. Clearing your throat, you channel your inner templar and speak with a deep voice.
"MY DISCIPLES!!"
>Illumina and Storm almost fall on their butts, while the rest of the ponies fall in complete silence. Dime Fang and Felix look to the side in fear, while the communion ponies look up, their eyes sparkling as if touched by divinity.
"I hear your plea, and it saddens me deeply! For lo, here you are again, making a real mess of things!" You speak with a hoof always raised. You read a book sometime ago, in high school, and there was this one pony talking to a skull... eh, nevermind.
>"Your highness, we're here to humbly beg forgiveness for the wrongs of the past!" Asmodeus drops to the floor in reverence, and the acolytes follow suit. "Never shall we again interfere with your divine business!"
"I believe thee, old wizard" you smirk. "However, you must now heed these words: whenever thou shalt contact me, do it so by finding me during my daily patrols, and never again disturb the peace of this underground complex. Coming down here without permission is a grave insult, and you better not repeat it once."
>"I-I see...!" Asmodeus is now crying rivers.
"And tell these ponies right now how did you managed to come in! Follow these simple principles, and you shall regain favor from all three of us!" You grab Storm and Illumina, winking at each of them.

>"O-Of course, so shall it be!" The pegasus improvises.
>"Sigh... yes, yes, so shall" Storm rolls her eyes.
>"A revelation is at hoof!" Asmodeus rises to the floor and talks to his disciples. "Let us carry the orders of the heavenly mares, ye sad sacks of potatoes!"
>The mess clears up, little by little, and you're left with Fang and Felix.
>"Good goin' love, you saved us quite the time there" the unicorn replies, going for a smoke.
"What was that all about? I thought we had security" you face Fang.
>"It's true, we do, but not as much as we should" the bat replies. "I tell you, this is mostly run by scientists, we need to fill so many more positions..."
"Then I have something else for you. The monster research team found out we can sell Brago's poop as fertilizer, so get on that, will you please?" You lower your head to the ground and plead with the director.
>"I suppose I'll add it to the list of things this stallion has already proposed" he points at Felix, who nods happily. "If everything goes well, we'll be able to send new applications for security staff and other much needed duties."
>"So, how was Brago?" Illumina asks, later in your room along with Storm as you take a break.
"Fine, he's not giving the ponies a hard time at all" you smile. "Maybe we got luckier than we can understand. I had no idea we were so much in need of money."
>"Well, there's why this is the only MegaStable with three big mares" Storm explains, ruffling your mane. "I mean, we had to win at something."
>"We'll do our best to keep the money flowing, and then some" Illumina asserts. "Let's go, Storm, Twenty-One needs some rest" the two mares make their exit, and the room falls in darkness.
>"You seem tired, hun" you hear Feather Bed whisper.
"Mom? You didn't leave?"
>"I was waiting for your friends to finish talking. Oh my!" She's perched on your forehead. "Are you coming down with a fever? A-Are you seeing double?"

"A-Am I?" You suddenly tense. "What makes you think that?"
>"Dear me, I hadn't noticed" she lands at various spots along your back. "Your body's quite hot, dear, have you been out in the desert for too long?"
"Well, not that long... but it was sunny."
>"You need to be careful, you're standing tall in the sun without protection" she flies back on your muzzle. "It's early, but you should go to sleep. I'll ask somepony to bring you water and food, don't turn the lights on, okay?"
"Fine..." You watch her go, then lay on the bed. Sunstroke, you, really? Must have been distracted with Brago, but it was quite hot in his general vicinity, maybe due to the fact that he releases heat all the time.
>While waiting for food, you check that you have no new mails, and ask Firegazer to patch you through with someone from the robotics team. However, you start feeling dizzy after watching the computer screen for just a while, and tell him to simply send them a message asking them to contact you about their experiments.

>After you have a bowl of fresh grub and a tank of water, you cover yourself with a blanket and stare at the dark ceiling of your room. Things are getting difficult these days, and maybe part of that is why you're bedridden now. Too much stress. Maybe you shouldn't have brought the turtle ashore, after all... zzz...
>You wake up without a notion of how much time has passed. Checking on the computer quickly, you realize it's just past midnight. Your head feels clear and your body's not all that warm, so you leave the bed and stretch. Then, you exit your room. The lights on the hallways have been brought down to ambient levels, and there's not a single soul in sight.
>That is, until light comes to you around the corner. Illumina walks on her own towards the lift, her body glowing a soft off-white, covering the hallway in sparkles.
>"Twenty-One? Is there anything wrong?" She walks up to you. "It's midnight."
"I know, I... had a fever, or something, and then I went to sleep early" you shake your head.
>"Hmm..." the pegasus puts a hoof in your forehead. "Seems you're fine now. Would you like to come with me and take a short walk outside? Maybe it will give you time to go back to sleep."

"Sounds good. A chill walk should get me in the mood to sleep" you nod, already feeling slightly doozy, and follow the mare towards the lift. "Why the lights, can't see well in the dark?"
>"I simply like doing it, the few ponies working around here appreciate seeing me on vigil" Illumina explains, as one lone pony passes by on a slow moving platform. He waves at the two of you.
>Outside, the moon is rising over the high skyrises, but all the way down in the streets, the only lights are artificial. Illumina focuses the glow in her body to just her legs, and tones it down so it's not a bother for the few ponies walking on the sides, mostly late workers and teenage couples having a rush.
"That's amazing, how do you do it?" You look at her legs.
>"It just comes naturally, I don't know how to explain it" the mare shakes her head. "When you discover your ability, you'll understand how it feels."
"Yeah, whenever that is..." you roll your eyes. "So, what do you think of the gift I gave Storm? Does she really like them?"
>"They're fantastic, and she loves them" the pegasus nuzzles your neck a bit. "Really tasteful. I recognized the store immediately, they work with such refined fabrics..."
"There seems to be a business for big mares about just anything... know of any place we can get dinner? Something greasy, maybe? I'm starving" you touch your tummy. It is as though your dinner went straight to your bum.
>"Now that you mention it, there's a pizzeria that sometimes makes giant portions for me when I'm on patrol" Illumina replies. "I would decline, but well, they take so much effort to make... It's been a while, let's see if they have something for us."
>You take a few twists and turns and en up pretty much on the north side of town, next to the beach. A joint with a very elegant design is still open and taking in customers, mostly young adults.

>"Ah, if it isn't a-Illumina bella!" A fat chef pony with a moustache comes through the back door. "It is good to a-see you and your companion, we-a have a special dough made just-a for you!"
>"Thank you, Giuseppe" Illumina replies, bowing down a bit. "My friend here is a bit sick and needs food, would you please prepare her something hearty?"
>"Presto, that's amore!" The pony makes a series of unintelligible, yet warm gestures, then hurries back to the kitchen. After a while of waiting, a bunch of ponies come carrying a massive plastic sheet, with a square portion of pizza with all sorts of cheeses and vegetables. "And enjoy it, bellissima!" With a curtsy bow, he and the other cooks retire to their kitchen.
>The pizza tastes incredible, a mixture of sweet and spicy that melts in your mouth, with a hint of spiced oil but not too fat. You enjoy every bite, giving some to Illumina, who's not too keen on taking it away from you.
"Mmm, mm..." you happily eat away. "Say, Lumi, do you think we could maybe convince Fang of using the rebuilding robots to make other things? Like weapons, security systems... there has to be a way, right?"
>"I'm sure there is, but it would be the cost of the materials that's bothering us" the mare replies. "A lot of money goes to ensure we're safe and content, and while I wouldn't like to live in misery, I can see how that affects the overall budget."
>Your pizza ends just as a high pitched, low volumed whirl comes from the many speakers installed across the city. The announcer's robotic voice comes through as a whisper.
>"This is a warning message for any big mares on patrol. A monster has been detected coming ashore outside MegaStable 5. Its heading is currently away from the city, direction south west. Requesting reconnaissance effort" the speakers crackle and die.

"Won't they wake Storm up at the base?" You ask her, stretching your wings. "If you still want to go, I think I can handle it for a little while."
>"We don't get many monsters showing up at night, and has a very heavy first hours of sleep" Illumina shakes her head. "Then again, they asked us to investigate, and she's not very stealthy either" she then changes her mind, nodding in peace. "Yeah, we can take care of this between the two of us."
>Giving her space, you watch as Illumina takes to the air, and you follow her. Somehow, you don't feel too full after that slice of pizza, so that's good. In case there's combat, you won't be hindered. You make your way towards the desert under the moon, and stay high in the sky to avoid being discovered.
>"There! Look!" Illumina whispers at you once you're approaching Brago's site. The turtle seems to have moved, but there's something else, walking slowly on the sands, clearly towards its position.
"Could it be...?" The way it walks and its shape looks really familiar. "Yeah, look! It's another turtle!"
>"Oh my goodness..." Illumina takes a further look. You're pretty sure it's another creature just like Brago. "This one looks even bigger."
"Whoa..." being careful with your flight, you take a closer look at it. This one seems... different. You can't exactly point it out, but it might be the shades, or the scar, or the flame decals on its shell. But he also has his head hole much higher than the legs and tail, and has a mean look to him overall.
>"He's obviously walking towards Brago" the blue mare confirms. "What should we do? If they're friends, I wouldn't like to hurt him, but maybe they'll ally and cause harm together..."

>"Yes, I believe they're male when the nails are longer" she replies. "Can't see them all that well from here..."
"What if it's a female that's come to breed?"
>"Does that look female to you?"
"Come on, these monsters never look the part. It's either that, or a competitor that wants to eat rocks where Brago is. I think we must check before jumping to conclusions" you get ready to descend.
>"Wait, what are you doing?"
"I will distract him, see how he reacts, while you check on the nails" you begin your descent. "Just be careful, alright? I promise I'll stay vigilant, I still don't like the look of him."
>"You're too rash sometimes" the mare shakes her head and takes a detour to not be seen, while you approach the turtle up front. When it sees you, it stops and huffs.
"Good night! Fine weather we're havin'!" You greet it, staying level with its head in the air. It really is a big bigger than Brago, princessakes. "What brings you here? Fancy some fresh air? I reckon you can understand me, can't you? You seem smarter" your eyes narrow, trying to look for any indication of understanding. The turtle remains unmoving, while Illumina checks on its legs. Then, she flies away. "Well, if you don't have anything to say, I guess..."
>It comes without warning, and only because of the range you had on it, that you're not smashed by his huge head bash. It only glances you, but that's enough to send you flying away a few yards.
"Oof!"
>"Twenty-One!" Illumina helps you stop in the air. "He's a male, alright. And a nasty one, I don't think he's here for pleasure."
>You have no time to answer, as the turtle rears his head back and shoots an incredibly large jet of crimson flame, illuminating the desert, heading straigth towards you and Lumi.

>Illumina and you split, letting the fire course through the desert, and regroup much higher in mid air. The turtle tries to attack you again, but this time it's just short of range.
>"Phew!" The blue mare rests her heart. "Now what? He's seen us and he's clearly hostile, so we need to figure out how to beat it!"
"Hmm, I wonder if Brago would help us..."
>"Gasp! The scientists!"
"Oh dang! We need to take them away from here!"
>The two of you rush towards the camp site while the enemy turtle advances slowly in the same direction. You find Brago awake, sniffing the air with a tense neck.
"What's the matter big boy?" You land on its neck. "Can you feel it? Can you feel what the other turtle is cooking?" You whisper, and he replies, making a gargling sound for the first time. "Wow. You must be really mad" you then whisper at Lumi. "Grab the scientists and bring Storm back, me and Brago will hold out!"
>"How do you know he won't turn against you?" The pegasus replies, on the verge of screaming.
>In that moment, Brago gargles again, this time getting up and lifting you along. The other turtle shows up in the horizon, and your pet spits fire at it as a warning.
"I don't think they're friends, Lumi!" You hang on tight to the neck. "Run!"

>Fortunately, she does as you tell her, and that leaves you alone with Brago facing the other monster. He growls and spits small bursts of fire as the other turtle advances and does the same.
"Who is he, buddy? A competitor, or just a mean bully?" You stroke his neck. "We'll beat him together, alright?" You stand by his side in flight. "Here he comes!"
>However, it is Brago who takes the initiative, meeting the turtle in the middle and raising his front legs. The opponent does the same, and both turtles are locked in mortal battle, spitting fire against each other, trying to smack faces and legs.
"I'm coming, Brago!" You fly up in the air and take aim. You never got to smash Brago's shell, but this one you have officially free range on the other guy. While the moonlight shines bright on the calm barren, you descend with your full power. "Hyaah!"
>Your hooves smack the shell, temporarily dazzling the creature, but not making even a dent. With a very fast head reaction, he smacks you out of the way, and you retreat to the skies again. Now he focuses on Brago, and this time he's exerting more power. He's overpowering your pet, tumbling him into the ground!

"Nooo!" You fly under the monster and begin to land punches on the underside of its shell. "Ora ora ora ora...! Wait, why am I yelling?"
>The turtle begins to land, and you carefully fly away. That side of the shell seemed softer, perhaps you should aim at the joints next time. The monster spits at you, while still trying to overpower Brago. Fortunately, your pet is holding out for now.
"You and your stupid shades... I get it, the shades!" You just had a brilliant idea! The shades must be a symbol of power, so if you take them from him, he'll be weakened!
>Maneuvering with care, you manage to land on its neck, and make the perilous trip, clutching your thighs tight. You get to the top of his head and pull on the shades. They seem to be part of his body, more like semi transparent scales.
"Come... on... pull... it... off!" With each powerful pull you huff and take air, until finally, you hear a crack, the scales coming out as a single object. "Yes!" You fly up to Brago and put them on him. "Now what, eh? Brago's the alpha turtle, not you!" You side with your pet, rubbing against his cheek. "Ooh, Brago, you're so hot and musky now, forget that loser...!"
>Your partner in crime seems to be happy, as he spits fire at the other turtle. However, it does not flinch, instead advancing faster towards the two of you. The battle resumes, and once again the two turtles rise on their hindlegs, trying to bite each other.
"A chance!" You get down the turtle and punch the leg joints. Each punch is faster, stronger, and it hurts less, until you feel the turtle coming down. "Oh no! W-Wowowowo...!" As you try to get down, your wing gets pinned in between the shell and the leg, and you're brought down. You feel an incredible weight trying to crush you. "Uuu... rrrrgh..." It's dropping on you, more and more pressure being dropped by the second. You begin to lose air, overshadowed by the shell.

>Things are getting worse, and all you can do is push back! Summoning all the strength you have, you start punching the shell, each blow lifting it up just a little.
"That's... that's right! Get... up... right... NOW!" You manage to catch a breath, but the turtle keeps pressing down. "Dammit!"
>In that moment, you hear something, the noise of other hits being dealt outside. Then, the turtle lifts up just enough for you to scurry outside and fly. However, your wings feel cramped and hurt, so you don't go too far away.
"Lumi! Storm!" You turn around and realize it was your two friends, along with Brago of course, who puched the turtle back up. The pegasus makes her body shine brightly for a second, dazzling the turtle, whose eyes are always slightly open. Then, she makes her way to you.
>"Twenty-One? Are you hurt?" She checks on you. "Oh yes you are! You have bruises on your wings!"
"It's alright... I managed to fly out, didn't I?"
>"Still, don't make too great an effort of you'll break a wing for real, and that's a few days out of flying. This will heal soon" she touches your wing with hers. "Try to give us ground support!" She takes to the skies again.
"B-But we got Storm already!"
>"I could use the help!" The mare yells, punching the turtle's leg. It shakes her off, making her pounce back. "If we don't topple him we don't get the advantage!"
>You check on your wings. Sure, they hurt, and a couple feathers here and there seem bent, but if you had to, you're sure you could last a bit in the air. You watch as Brago and your partners work together, turtles spitting fire at each other while Illumina circles and flashes him and Storm pummels away. At the rate this fight goes, you might be here all night. If the shell's really softer, you've been hitting that a lot, it must be close to crack, right?

"Girls! I've been hitting the underside of the shell, we need to get him to rise up and then Storm can hit that part!"
>"Alright! Any ideas?" The earth pony runs circles around the turtle, trying to find a spot, while it locks itself in combat against Brago once more.
"Brago might help, if he pushes hard enough!"
>"I have one! A researcher told me we can cause a shock if we hit the hind legs from its blind spot! That should weaken him!" Illumina yells from the air.
>"Now you're talking!" Storm heads behind the turtle, but the hind leg moves surprisingly, pushing her away. "Damn, we need to take a detour!"
>You scout the area, and find the only real way is to get a distance away and pray Brago holds off long enough. However, Illumina's flashing the other turtle, who tries to burn her with crimson fire, and Storm is finding her way in, so you approach from up top. The short flight causes your wings to hurt again.
>You land on the shell, and try to find any other weak spots. The intersections of the pentagonal scales are indented, but no matter how hard you try, you don't feel the same feeling of it pushing in as with the underside. The shell topples a bit, and you're forced to land on the ground.
>In that moment, while Storm is distracting it, you see a gap! You run and get past your friend, sliding under the tail and landing close to a hind leg.

"I'm behind it!" You yell. "Take this!" You begin to punch and kick as fast as you can, sinking the scales a bit in the body. The turtle growls in anger. "Yeah, that's right! Shock!" You keep punching. "Bend!" You close your eyes and yell. "DO SOMETHING!"
>Suddenly, there's a loud noise, as if from a loud explosion, except right on top of you. Your eyes remain closed in reflex, then open, to see the turtle completely paralyzed in the spot.
>"W-What happened back there!?" Storm peeks from the other side of the leg.
"I... must have hit her very hard?"
>"Nevermind that, get Brago to...!" Lumi tries to help, but your pet is on the case, pushing and lifting the other turtle. "That. Don't look up!"
"Why?" You ask as you see the pegasus rise very high, then expand her wings and begin to shine with more and more intensity, such as you've never seen her do before... You look away, and a flash covers the entire desert from side to side of the horizon. Light bathes your entire field of vision, it feels incredible, and you can see as well as daytime. "Whoa."
>"Thanks, lover!" Storm immediately charges up, her body glowing golden. "Where's the spot!?" She asks you.
>You run under the turtle and find the place you've dealt more blows to. It has a clear bump inwards.
"There!"
>"Got it!"
>The rest is simple execution: Storm's dead center punch, plus Brago's pushing, cause the turtle to fall, suddenly awaking from its paralysis in the middle of the day, with a smoking hole in its shell, and laying upwards. It begins to roll to the sides in pendulum motions.
>"It's trying to get up!" Illumina yells, the intense light fading slowly back into nighttime.

"Brago! Help! You call your partner, who looks down at you. "Here, over here! Pin him down, come on!" You're yelling this in hopes that he'll listen, but he seems satisfied to have thrown him on his back.
>"No time, we need to finish him!" Illumina lands with a powerful punch in the belly, however the turtle's tilting makes her lose balance. "Ugh! It's going to be hard...!"
>In that moment, Brago seems to react, walking towards the monster's head and pinning it down by flat out sitting on it. As intriguing as the act seems to you, the truth is that the turtle now has to struggle against him, and you have free rein on the exposed tummy.
>Storm manages to climb as well, and the three of you pummel and soften the thick hide, until the combination of your blows and Brago's crushing butt cause the creature to stop moving. The three of you slide off the shell slowly.
"Oh my gosh, that was just painful..." you take a rest, when you feel something wet and raspy cover you. "Guh! B-Brago!" The turtle is licking you all over. "You're going to cover me in slobber, stop it, haha, hahaha...!" Truth be told, the slight raspiness tickles you nicely all over.
>"Would you look at that. Maybe you've tamed him after all" Illumina approaches and receives a complementary bath. "Ewww! My mane!"
>"Ooh no...!" Storm begins to back up as Brago looks at her. "Nope, see ya!" She dashes behind the dead monster as your pet makes way. Looks like Storm didn't expect that, for soon her screams and ticklish laughter echo across the desert.
"That one was a real battle, and we had massive help" you look at Brago, picking up Storm harmlessly in his mouth and placing her besides you like a puppy, then heading away, to her usual sleep site. "Ugh... my legs feel all wobbly, and my wings hurt" it's more than that. "I can't feel my wings!" You try to flap them, but they're too heavy and wounded.

>"Stay still" Illumina approaches you, takes a wing and flexes it in various positions. "Nope, not broken, just a bit sprained. Give it a day, they'll heal" she gives you a nod and a wink. "Feels good being a big mare."
"I guess it does... but now I have to walk all the way back, dammit."
>"Hey, make us company" Storm grabs and nudges you, splotching more slobber on you. "We're going to need to stop by the sea first."
>Some time later, you're back in your room, exhausted, hurting but at least clean. With a seriously long yawn, you simply drop on your bed and put everything to rest. Damn, that Brago sure can fight... glad he seems to be on the team now. He'll be a helpful asset...
>The next morning, you wake up and check the hour. You didn't sleep a ton, as you were expecting, but still made good of it. You feel rested, and can feel your wings again! You move them around, and while they still hurt a bit, they don't feel as rigid as before. And... there's a ton of feathers in your bed.
"Huh, I don't remember being late for a preening" you take them out and make a nice pile of them. Okay, they're not a lot, but you didn't think you had this many. Leaving it aside, you open the mirror app in your computer, ready to brush your mane. "Oh... ah."
>The change is immediately recognizable. Your eyes, previously a pearly white, are now a bright shade of red, and there's a tuft of straight hair curving slightly to the left of your eye. This wasn't here yesterday, not by a long shot.

Eh. Not really? It's only a guy moving his fist fast enough to the point where the air parts away from the oncoming fist like Noah splitting the Red Sea.

All that red and yellow when the fist makes contact is probably friction or something. Or all the transferred kinetic energy from the punch.

>>
So we have had a lot of power suggestions and many have had elemental additions suggested for them.

>>
>>30074158
No. Punch good. Elemental should come as secondary after 21 discovers her big mare power.
>>
>>30074158
I am perfectly fine with the powers not being elemental. I still think simple razor feathers are the way to go. It basically gives us natural weapons that we always have with us. We have a ranged option of throwing them or we can do an up close slice. When we git gudder at flying we could make passes on enimies, cutting them up. Simple yet effective.
>>
>>30075272
You mean like hooves?

>>30074158
I dont think so, either elemental based or direct damage related, not both

Why not have weather powers? That way we get wind, water, and lightning.

>>
>>30077748
Bitch we can already do that. We just need some pegasi magic practice and we'll be a giant storm goddess.

> Just to make sure, you fog the computer screen with your breath and wipe it, but there's no change. Your eyes are definitely of another color.
"Weird... I really hope it's natural" you decide to call Illumina through the direct line. "Lumi? Could you come here for a moment?"
>"Of course!" You hear her, then wait while looking at your body. The pile of feathers remains on the floor, and you decide to pick the nicest one, as a memento of your gray days. "I'm here!" The door opens, and the pegasus enters, her mouth dropping instantaneously. "Gasp!" She runs to hug you. "You're growing colors!"
"Y-Yeah, I was going to ask if it's normal..." you hold her in a hug.
>"Yes, of course it's normal! You will finish growing up soon, the eyes usually come first" she puts her hooves in your cheeks, giving you a good look. "Such a nice color..."
"What if I don't like it?"
>"They can't change, don't you know?" The blue mare speaks while taking a good look at your face. "Maybe once or twice, but if you don't like it, there's a big chance it will shift... gosh, you look so mature. To think you're just a month old" she gives you a motherly boop.
"Heheh" you scratch your snoot. "But how come it changes?"
>"You'd have to ask somepony. Not Felix, mind you, all he gives is a vague 'iunno, chemicals 'n stuff'" she makes a good impression of the aloof scientist. "Could you believe I was at one point green with a violet mane?"
"A big green pegasus with a violet mane? Ridiculous."
>"I would have come to check up on you myself" Illumina then explains. "I want to make sure you're feeling alright. Last night shook you up, quite so" she replies, using your still open mirror to give herself a good look. "Would you like me and Storm to cover your shift today? We were going on a date tonight anyways."
>>

"Well, if you insist" you sit on the bed. "I could use the day to do some things I have pending. Are you sure it's alright?"
>"Positive. We'll do an hour or two of joint patrol, and then go out for dinner or something. I asked a restaurant in town a couple of weeks in advance, you see, I wanted a proper celebration of our birthdays just for Storm and I" the mare blushes slightly. "If you come up with any other questions about your growth, let us know!" She leaves with a happy trot.
>After spending a few minutes pondering about your eyes and life in general, you decide it's time to do some of the things you've been putting off these days, mostly due to the monster attack. You call Firegazer and ask him to patch you through to the robotics team.
>"Sure thing, lead researcher Tailspin seems to be on the job. Uh... miss Twenty-One? Would you mind if I asked a...?"
"Is it about the eyes?"
>"Um... yes."
"They're fine, Firegazer, I'm just growing up, or so it seems" you roll them crimson orbs and smirk.
>"Oh, what a relief" the young stallion lies in his chair. "I thought you'd have some sort of super cancer, or something..."
"Goodness, don't be such a negative nancy!"
>"Sorry, sorry" he apologizes. "Here, I'll patch you to the robotics lab."
>After a few seconds, you hear the familiar voice of the loopy Tailspin.
>"Hi lass! Fancy gettin' your call! Like, are you still interested in giving us a hoof?"
"That's what I was calling. What does the test entail?"
>"We have this prototype here, dunno if you can see it" the pony moves the camera and shows you a large white and grey rocket surrounded by ponies, with some parts sticking out. "It's a prototype, but very strong. If you want, we meet up at the VR room and test how much it can pull on you. Interested?"

If someone posts a stupid idea out of the blue, the people who don't like it have to make a post calling it out or else that we'll do that stupid thing. When some anons keeps posting stupid things, people get annoyed because they have to constantly tell them off. They'd be far more receptive and far less hostile if anon had asked the rest of us if we wanted to ask about a piercing, rather than having 21 ask for it. This sort of behavior is exacerbated because Fins tries to include every idea in his post. I can guarantee that anon knew his idea would get should down if he asked us, so he tries to shoehorn it in instead without any discussion.
>>
>They'd be far more receptive and far less hostile if anon had asked the rest of us if we wanted to ask about a piercing

"Sounds good to me, all in the name of science. When do we meet?"
>"Right now! You hear that, boys!?" Tailspin turns away from the camera. "We got a test big mare!" There's a large round of cheers and applause. "We'll see you there!"
"Wait! I have something else" you stop him from ending the call. "Do you think you'd be able to build me a remotely controlled drone, to have a normal pony point of view? Something with a camera, maybe shaped like a pony..."
>"Sounds like a job fit for us!"
"Awesome! What else do you do? Would you make me some kind of heads up display, maybe some glasses, or earrings?" You picture yourself as a sexy earring lady, quickly morphing into the image of some bipedal bimbo with tons of makeup. "Maybe not the earrings."
>"Yeah, yeah, those sound good!" Tailspin replies, while some ponies in the background agree. They all look like they've been playing around with way too much firepower, burnt coats galore.
>The call finally ends, and you make your way to the VR room. You throw the feathers away, save the best one, which you keep in your desktop drawer. As you arrive, you meet the lab ponies, who carry the rocket, thin but very long, into the room, along with a massive wheeled platform.
>"There's the mare of the hour! Hurry, let's set this up!" Tailspin enters the room trotting, his tail funnily spinning with excitement.
"Alright, so how is this going to work?"
>"You lie here on the platform, we strap the rocket under, and let it go. The objective is to see if it can pull you along the room" he beams a smile on you. "If you get pulled even just a bit we'll be able to check just how strong it is, so stay still. Now, do you want to start on the strong setting, or the super death strong setting!?" His legs open wide in a triumphant gesture.
>>

"Hmm. Let's start with just 'strong', please" you narrow your eyes. "How come you don't ask me for any other data? Don't you need to know my strength or anything to know how the rocket performs?"
>"All we need is your weight, and we got it from Felix" Tailspin produces a mangled paper from his mane and reads it out. "Approximately 200 tons, but we've measured a bigger margin for error."
"How uncouth, I simply don't weight that much" you show your tongue playfully and play with your mane.
>"Actually, you should weigh three times as much" a mare from the robotics team shows up. "But because of your body composition, you're light as can be."
>"Still heavier than the average rocket, though" Tailspin points out.
"Huh. So what's your plan, what do you intend to do with the rocket?"
>"If this works, we'll make a spaceship model and see if central eats it up" the stallion shrugs. "I reckon we'll win a few prizes. Three, no, maybe eight!"
"Uh huh..."

(1/2)
>>
>>30079578
>Once the platform is ready, you lie on its uncomfortable cold floor and wait for the rocket to be strapped.
>"Alright, weight checks out, the platform's holdin'!" Tailspin yells. "Hold on to the bars, ma'am, we're launching! Oi, prop it on regular setting, will ya!?" He then barks orders. You hold on to the metallic bars on either side of the platform, and wait for the worst.
>"We're ready to launch! Clear the area!" The mare from before yells.
>"Safety glasses on! Or off, I'm not your dad, do what you want" Tailspin's voice is a murmur in the distance. "Ten, nine, eight... oh, just fire the damn thing!"
>Suddenly, you hear the noise of the engine being turned on, and you feel the platform try to move, slowly forwards. Little by little, you can see how it traverses the VR room at a snail's pace.
>"It's workin'! By the princess, it's workin'! Crank it up all the way!"
"What!?" You turn around. "I didn't say anything about...!"
>"Yee haw!" The pony in charge of the controls pushes a few buttons, and the rocket suddenly erupts, sending you and the platform across the VR room.
"AAAAAAAAAAAA...!!" You can see the end of the room, only seconds away. At this speed, this will hurt more than you bargained for.
>>
>>30079583
Better to break our hoof then our face.
Punch the wall with as much force as we can muster between that and the speed we should break through with only a mangled arm.

Then again there may be stuff beyond that room. Unless we know it is empty space past that wall just tank the hit with our shoulders.

>You try to steer the cart to the sides, but there's not enough space to maneuver! You open your wings to reduce drag, and at the same time punch the ground below you with your two hooves. The rocket goes flying in the air, aiming at the ceiling of the room, which fortunately is quite high.
>"Oooh...!" You hear the robotics ponies marvel, while you feel you might pass out at any time. Using your wings, you manage to control your direction, until finally, the rocket runs out of juice, and you're left flying in the air with the platform between your hooves. "Woohoo!" The ponies cheer down below.
"That was incredibly irresponsible! I said not to use the strongest setting!" You immediately fly down, steaming mad, and yell at Tailspin, holding the rocket in your hooves. "I'll smash this piece of junk the next time you betray me like that!"
>"B-Buh, sorry, I guess I got a bit carried away..." the stallion looks at his hooves. "But I mean, we made some progress here, didn't we? We're in your debt nowpleasedon'tkillus!"
"Hmm... you better start thinking up that pony drone. Keep me posted" you drop the rocket and the platform, which fall with tremendous metallic noises, and leave the room, feeling your heart beating intensely. "Aargh! Ponies!"
>However, as you go back to your room, you find your mother looking for you.
"Mom! Hey, what's up?" You trot towards her. She gives you a completely ghastly look. "Uh..."
>"Oh dear, it's true... you're finally growing up..." she flies closer to your muzzle, staring into your eyes. "Those eyes... those... bwaaaahahahahhh!" Without warning, she drops on your snoot bridge, crying mad rivers.
"Mom!? What's wrong?" You start to panic a little, unable to move so as to not disturb her.
>"They... sniff... they look just like..." she looks up again, then buries her head. "They look just like your father's!" She breaks down in tears again.
>>
>>30079827
Give her a hug.
Once the vr room is clear we should go beat up the monster that killed our father
>>
>>30079827

Gently give her the patpats. I hope that even if our fur changes colours a bunch, that our eyes stay the same. So that we may honour the memory of our father as best we can.

Comfort our mother. Get her to talk a little more about dad. Ask if the eyes at least look pretty.
>>
>>30079836
>>30079962
"Oww..." something in your heart goes incredibly soft. You climb on the bed and pick her up as carefully as you can, giving her a ton of hugs. "I'm sorry if they bring bad memories, I didn't choose the color..."
>"Oh no, dear, I know it's not up to you" Feather Bed wipes her tears with her wings and smiles while sitting on your hoof. "It's just, your face begins to remind me of him, you're becoming somewhat of an adult at this rate..."
"Do you at least think the eyes are pretty?" You ask, ears all floppy.
>"Oh, my sunshine, of course they are" she flies up and hugs your muzzle again. "Of course they are."
"They said it could change..."
>"Even if it changes, it won't be that much. You're your father's filly, after all" she replies, breathing slowly, the rhythm of her life on your muzzle making you extremely calm. "I know he'd be proud of you."
>You look at the picture on your shelf, and squinting you make the details out: red eyes, just like yours, a sky blue coat matching your mother's make, and hairs of coffee dark brown. Storm Spinner's fiery gaze definitely matches his strong attitude and forward pose. The prospect of having these eyes doesn't sound that bad after all.
>You spend most of the day with your mother, learning about your dad and doing all sorts of activities together. By the time Illumina and Storm return, you've fallen asleep with her on your lap, so gently cradled it would be impossible for you to hurt her. And who knows, maybe when you wake up tomorrow you'll find even more has changed. This is just the beginning.

Good lord no those are our fathers eyes.
>>
>>30081224

Exactly this. Our father's eyes is a really sweet touch.

Let's have 21's colour's be meaningful. Red and full of fierocity like her father, while her sky blue coat is as soft as her mother's embrace. I don't know what to do with the mane. The family photo suggests brown. I'd personally prefer a two tone mane, maybe with bright silvery highlights on our current darkened grey, like the silver lining of a storm cloud. Silver Lining could also be a decent symbolic name, seeing as we're always looking for the hidden good inside everyone, be they pony or giant monster that we happen to be befriending.
