I've been busy being lazy, especially since the themes that are addressed in these new segments that I have written made me quite uncomfortable (in terms of meeting a reader's expectations). So far, I have 7k words out now (yes, it will be a HUGE update), but I want to finish the entire segment first and re-read it thoroughly before I post it.

After all, my perspectives will be biased, being the author after all, so fresh minds and eyes are very welcomed.

I posted some suggestions in a previous thread but you didn't reply so I assumed you hadn't seen them. In case that's true, here they are again:

What you have written so far is good I think. I'm not a huge fan of the whole slavery concept, but I tolerate it since it isn't super prominent in the story.

So some suggestions: first of all I don't think that Cadence would say something like "he's your master now." It really just don't seem like something that any pony would say especially since they are the ones being enslaved. Maybe they would say something like "you decided to live with Anon, so you have to abide by his rules." To me that makes more sense logically. I really don't think Cadence (who supposedly had her kid killed by a human) would just be like "eh he's your master, so you gotta listen to the humans." That's just not something that would happen.

Also it seems like Anon just accepts things as facts and doesn't ever question the ponies. Thorax goes off talking about how Starlight, Discord, and Trixie saved all the changelings but I don't recall ever being introduced to Discord in the story so how should Anon know who he is? It feels like Anon (who has never even heard of the whole MLP universe and its canon) is blindly accepting and just going along with whatever ponies tell him. No questions. Nothing like "who is [someone]?" or "what exactly happened when [something]?" It feels like he already knows what's happened in another world even though he's never been there.

So maybe focus more on how ponies would feel about slavery of their kind and think through their eyes. Instead of Cadence just accepting slavery as a thing, maybe form it more as "while you're living with Anon you have to respect his rules." That seems more like what someone would say. And also have Anon be a little more curious; he needs to be told about things before knowing about them.

Just my suggestions.

As for your response to my comments, there's definitely ways to fix things. Since it hasn't been long since Trixie and Cadance were introduced, editing their words shouldn't be too hard at all. Honestly I think you just have to edit what they say and it will sound a lot better. And with Anon "knowing everything" you just have to write him as more curious.

It may have been some Catholic thing. I think that Catholics believe that you have to be "good enough" in order to get to heaven. Christians follow what Jesus and the Bible say and that is that in order to get to heaven, you just have to accept and believe that Jesus died in order to wash away all the sin of the world.

Back before Jesus came and died, they had to sacrifice animals (lambs mostly, I believe) and it was the shedding of blood that forgave their sin. The Bible says that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. The idea was that when Jesus came, he was perfect and sinless even though he had been subject to all the temptations that everyone else had been subject to. But it was the fact that he was sinless that made his sacrifice special; not something some average Joe could do. So yeah Christians believe that you cannot do anything to deserve to be saved (we are all sinners and we can't redeem ourselves); you just have to believe that what Jesus did was the real deal.

But yeah I think whatever you read in the magazine wasn't necessarily scripture-based. Or maybe it was talking about the rapture in Revelations (which is a pretty interesting read, honestly). Very futuristic and trippy.

On one hand I hope she does stick with me for the rest of my life. She's the first I've ever felt actual love for, not including family members (that's a different type of love anyways). She makes me extremely happy and I cherish the thoughts I have about her on a day to day basis.
On the other hand however I fear greatly for the future if I keep this up. At this point in time, I have no feelings for anyone but her, and doubt I ever will. This is a scary thought that's been afflicting me for some time now, even before waifuing Starlight, and I'm sure you can see why.
Furthermore, coming to this board and letting out my feelings about her from time to time with like minded people is something I really enjoy doing. It's very therapeutic and it makes me feel infinitely less alone in the world to hear that other people feel the same way I do. It's a thing I think about a lot. I have no doubts I won't have any meaningful IRL relationships any time soon so I'm not worried about cheating on my waifu or anything like that. But I can't help but wonder what the future holds. These feelings aren't exactly easy to deal with, if anything it taught me that no matter what you know and experienced it always has more surprises for you in store. Sometimes you have to talk to someone even just for the sake of talking about it. I know this all too well myself and I always try to offer help for anyone in need of it, no matter who it is, because people here helped me as well more than one time.

A lot of waifufags feel about their waifus in a similar way no matter who their waifu is, even if every story is unique. It's not just this thread, any waifu thread can relate to these feelings. We may sometimes fight because of our preferences but the ultimate truth is, we're all in the same boat.
