I don't think we have to worry about being dead any time soon though, the show will run for at least few more years and the fandom will live long past it. Some dedicated fanbases outlive the source material several years. Just look at Katawa Shoujo for example. And with how creative this fandom is we'll be able to run on fumes for quite some time.
