1) Your feelings don't determine what is canon.
2) It doesn't. No one cares what you think is or isn't canon because see above. You're the one so triggered at the idea of barbie being canon that you completely twist producers words so you can stay in your safe space.

A work not referencing a previous work does not make the previous work non-canon. It just means the stories are self-contained so new viewers don't need to see the previous installment to enjoy the current one. This is something ponyfags cannot grasp for some reason. Face it, EQG isn't canon. Nothing that has happened so far in the show contradicts this. The line in Equestria Games only proves to back this up. It's not bad writing. Equestria Girls simply isn't canon.

Get over it. You can enjoy your airheaded high school girls with stock love interests and I can enjoy the show that's actually good. Everybody wins.

Sorry if it triggers you but the movies are still canon. Every movie has been written by a story editor of the show. You can still hate them though, nothing in the rules against that. I don't even care about EqG. I watch them once and I'm done with them. It doesn't change their canon status though.

Guys. Equestria Girls isn't 100% canon until they fucking talk about it in the goddamn show. In the meantime, it either can or cannot be.

The lack of evidence in the MAIN PRODUCT, however, leans towards not acknowledging EQG's existence. Instead, we should see EQG films as applicable to canon, but not absolutely.

Why does this trigger EQG fags so much? It's not 100% canon. It can't be until the SHOW ITSELF says so. And it HASN'T. For now, it only "CAN" be canon, but not 100%.
