Not a problem, she just didn't have a consistent VA as a background pony until they bumped her up from "that pony we put in cameos".

The eyes on the other hand have a distinct timeline.

Normal as a kid, developed problems as she grew up, taken down to Ponyville as a filly for surgery (fails), raised groundside (beats Rarity at the car race), becomes a long-term resident (and probably lived there before Fluttershy and RD).
