I'd be surprised if we don't see a break, episodes are only finished 8 weeks before their release and if the finale was scheduled to air in September-November like last year the episodes wouldn't be done. Episode discussion dissipates after a couple days. And call me insane, because I am, but I like hiatus /mlp/ better than in-season /mlp/. Why? More predictable shitposting during the hiatus allows my filters to operate at peak effectiveness, meaning I don't have to shift-click dozens of threads every day.

I have to say that two episodes per week sounds good. It means that unless we get two /bad/ episodes the same week, the weeks we get absolutely awful episodes like >>29996118 we would still have another episode to discuss, and it would be easier to pretend that the millionth "Glimmer learns not to be a sociopath again" episode doesn't exist.

It will probably be completed by July 15th. He said they were airing 8-10 weeks after completion, and if they're still working on the finale, that gives them more than two months to finish it.

That said this fucking sucks. I was (honestly) looking forward to basically 6 months (24 weeks counting for double ep premiere and finale) of new discussion/fanstuffs. I hate this new method of blowing through episodes that Cartoon Network, Disney, and apparently Canada are adopting.

I can only hope Hasbro has some say in the air schedule and realizes that Treehouse is ruining this (and stealing ratings from the US airings). Perhaps threaten to not give them the second half of the season unless they modify their release schedule? Who am i kidding, hasbro will do nothing, then blame the low ratings on piracy and use it as an excuse to cancel the show, and only release a few "specials" per year (like they're already doing with EQG, and like they did for almost every other gen of MLP)
