They're cute. They have simple adventures and it makes us smile.

Ponies aren't really that important to me. Ponies appeal to me in the same way that the Renault Twingo appeals to me, they're small and cute and go on adventures, and they make a nice break from the harshness of the rest of the world. It's simple escapism. There's also some sense of involvement in there too, but that's because I got involved with the fandom and things, which isn't too bad if you can avoid all the top tier autism.
