Starlights more prone to emotional instability which Twilight could exploit.
Starlight is also more sociopathic and would probably distract and tire out Twilight by endangering innocents.

Starlight is a unicorn. A member of her species and race.
She would tire out especially fast trying to incapacitate but not killing her. Twilight didn't try to defeat her while Starlight tried everything to destroy her. Subsequentially this exhaustion broke Starlight's mind and made her more open to influence.
