When dyeing hair, there are usually not many tools used in this process. In fact, the dye isn't even on there for that long, so there's no point in putting shit in your hair.

Even if you're trying to dye specific strands of hair, you usually just wrap the strands or let it sit there, and then wash it off after a few minutes.
