Well I started one yesterday at -200, 600. I think a few anons have been working on it on and off.

Then some other anon said we should make it closer to the rest, so the black line and the bits of purple you see above Derpy and Luna are his start at it.

Most of the work actually was done by other anons. Not that it's worth less because of that.

But I intended the mane to be purple, and brown to be used for shading the coat, whereas those anons started using brown for the mane instead.

So either parts of what I made are going to need to be recoloured, or parts of what the other anons did are going to need to be recoloured, or we could decide on a good colour scheme and put it all near the pony area.

I think personally if nobody standardises the existing one I'll start working in the area you made near Derpy tomorrow.

What about the shading on the muzzle though? We have three shades of yellow/orange/brown, and the original has three matching shades (the muzzle highlight, the lightly shaded muzzle (e.g. above the eyes, including what's already been placed above FS's left eye), and the dark-shaded muzzle (the neck and stuff)). At least that's how I was envisioning it.

But since you've got the thing going in photoshop, do you think you could be kind enough to play around with the different colours we have available to see what looks best?

So here's how I see things right now as I go to bed:
- Derpy's raid has been fought off completely, but now some faggot coloured in her eyes black (!). Needs fixing.
- I spent possibly 4 hours fixing Luna to match the template. Had to move a whole bunch of stuff like two pixels over. I am autistic and Luna is good.
- There is quite a lot of noise and spam around. If somebody is bored it might be nice to remove the "chung is goy" stuff near Luna, the random green blob between Luna and Derpy, and maybe some other crap around.
- Fluttershy... I was the one to start her and I really want to see her done, but it's clear that it's pretty hard. If Photoshop Anon can come up with a good-looking template that utilises all the relevant colours we have available, and then Engrish Anon can organise something and get started on making that work (possibly using what's already been done as a base) that would be fantastic, but I don't own the thing so whatever you anons get around to doing is good.

I think I have severe autism due to the amount of time I'm spending on there. But even I have to sleep, so until tomorrow.

I actually really like that first one. It has a lot more depth to it. The colour scheme makes it look like it's in the sunset, it's really warm and cozy. I love that.
The purple mane is slightly weird but it doesn't look nearly as out of place as I thought it would.

I think a couple of non-mane purple places could be changed to brown, such as the mouth, nose, and possibly the inside of the rest. Maybe something like dark grey for the neck shadow? Because purple shading does look a bit weirder than it should in my opinion.

Do you think you could make a preview with these changes? If there work well then I think we're perfect

Actually on second thought 2 shades doesn't look too bad either. I was focused on the "it has more depth" and "it's more faithful to the original" thing, but looking at it more it makes some of it a bit too dark. And a cartoon pony doesn't look particularly bad if it's flat.
Also with 2 shades the ear can properly be changed to brown from purple, same for the neck.

Out of curiosity, do you think you could do a mock-up with brown as the "darkest mane" colour? Because that's what seems to have been going on right now, I'm curious as to how it would look if it were completed.

If there is, and you're willing to photoshop some more, it might be worth making it a bit more visible on the template at the cost of not having it match the online colour exactly, because right now it's basically impossible to tell if it's even supposed to be there (at least on my monitor).

I added the dark-grey AA to the template that's already been colored in on the canvas. It's as good as you can really get. The dark-grey itself doesn't really work because it has a higher luminance than the brown, yet there's no other colors that would work as better AA between brown and black. Might as well just keep what we have.
