Same thing gets brought up in every MCU thread on /co/; Marvel's TV shows depend on referencing Marvel's movies for marketing, but the movie execs hate the TV execs so refuse to acknowledge their stuff exists out of spite. The thing is that every character in the show has a counterpart it seems. Sunset isn't part of the show so there's no reason to be two Sunsets in the same series.
IIRC they didn't want to add pony-twi because they didn't want to confuse the target audience so I very much doubt they wanted two Sunsets running around.
