So Flurry's growing fast. The CMC should be getting bigger already. The fact that Bloomy can be argued to be anywhere between 8 and 15 at this point is weird. I think that based on everything but her appearance, she should be 14 by now. At least her and her friends not being in this recent episode shows that she's in a grade/class that's higher than those sick foals and hasn't just been in the same grade this whole time, and that Cheerilee teaches all grades at different times in the same room.

the difference in size here again makes me think about how weird it is, how her age can be commonly viewed like that. In the movies, she's in the same high school as the mane 6, she's a growing teenager, But then there's all this art where she's 1/3 the size of the older characters. I don't mind a cutie Bloom whose age is a single digit either, but it's a weird view to be so common, that that's her actual size/age. It varies so wildly, sometimes.

I miss her being a major character, someone who got a fair amount of secondary roles when the episode wasn't about her. There will always be seasons 4 and 5 to look back on fondly for that, but the final Bloom episode ever being OYM doesn't feel great.

Um... So. I was just gonna say that I was done and disappear in a cloud of Bloom, but I feel like I owe you guys something of an explanation. Basically, in the last couple of months I got kicked from the Navy, had to land kind of a shitty job, got into marijuana (it's k I'm WA), and now I'm trying to quit and got some withdrawal going along with a couple other shitty things. That, and I stopped feeling the story a while ago. I don't know if you guys could tell or not. But basically, I was just trying to fulfill the promise of an epilogue (and I'll never learn to be a good author if I leave things unfinished). And it just got to be a huge drag, up to the point where I was just really dissatisfied with the stuff I was putting out. Just didn't feel up to snuff, like at all. So I brought it to this point, where it can sort of be described as an ending (if a bad one), and I'm just gonna leave it there. I'm sorry guys, I know you were expecting something more, but I've been running on fumes, and sooner or later that's just not enough. I really am sorry about that.

Thanks for keeping the threads alive, for reading my story, and for all your encouragement. They really meant a lot to me, and I'm gonna miss you guys. Apple Bloom's still my favorite pony, and you guys are fans of her in a way that's sweet and not-cancerous, and I just really like the way you guys love her. Hope you all have a good next season with her.

yeah the impression I got is that only Anon has any idea there'd be a problem. My headcanon at least, if we never get any answer, is that the others have figured it out, confronted AB about it (each in their own way.. which means BM didn't do anything except watch closely to make sure Bloom is happy and Anon isn't coercing her), heard her side of things.. and decided to throw them a surprise 'we're cool with it (and promise this is the most awkward it's ever going to be) party' or country equivalent. possibly with a cake shaped like a shotgun. So I've been thinking, and I realized that the tap-dancing-colt dread that's bothered me so much is looking a little more delusional and baseless, like people have told me whenever I'd complain about it. Fillies don't often enough seem to get the full appreciation they deserve.
