Today, I learned that while I believed rams were a species of goat, they are in fact just male sheep. And female sheep are called ewes.

I figured that Grogar was playing off the idea that goats are considered animals evocative of the Devil, since the goat is known to be Satan's favorite animal to disguise himself as. (I'm fairly sure that's why Discord has two goat body parts; because he used to be a major antagonist that stood for disharmony.) But I guess Grogar is a sheep. Go figure.

I was fine with Twilicorn. And Crytal ponies. And Starlight and Flurry and Thorax. The closest I've ever come to average nor/mlp/erson mad is probably when they dumped Sombra with the comic division. Nigga had MAD lore potential. And those fuckers did the exact OPPOSITE of what they should have, undermining it every step of the way.
I still like the comics a damn sight more than /mlp/ does on average. But piss n' vinegar would I jump for joy if the show blatantly ignored all that tripe and brought up Sombra again.

Well it did bother me that we didn't get to see why that last time line was a complete wasteland in the season 5 finale. It would be amazing if it was because of Grogar, but I doubt that they were even thinking that far ahead.

The Crunch the Rockdog arc was my favorite as a kid. I'm sure it's cheesy if gone back to now, but it was super intense to me when I was 8 or w/e. Turns most of the ponies to stone, Wind Whistler tries to be practical and the others yell at her for not being more emotionally distraught, then they find the sentient mountain that made the dog, and it explains that the ruby at its heart was supposed to give the dog feelings. So they take the ruby, not thinking it through, and the MOUNTAIN is now evil and starts trying to kill them. It seemed really dark as a kid.

On other G1 notes, the supposed leaked name for Rainbow's mom was Windy Whistles, which seems oddly close to G1's Wind Whistler.

I was talking about the African ass trees on the Cutie Map, specifically. The original print map didn't have anything of the sort.
What's being retconned here anyway? I don't see anything significant, besides the expanded range. The land-bridge, I guess? Even if we assume this trumps the show itself it doesn't negate anything desu, Equestrian geography's always been weird. There's an Aztec Jungle in Vanhoover FFS.
