Exactly, they did plenty of "intentionally bad" songs in season 1, and everyone thought they were smart to cut it out. This song wasn't bad, but close enough to revive those memories.

I enjoyed the song, but in a "earworm of the week" way. It was catchy and had effort put into it, but existed as a joke rather than conveying something important about the episode.
