Here's a belated picture since I didn't put up one earlier.

Last time on PirateQuest...

https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/29859358/#29860846

After having decided to help the Gusties and the Misties with the curse put on their tribes by the demon known as the Crimson King, the party returned to the Misties' camp to rest and recover before setting out. Although the Misties' elder, Peace and Quiet, didn't really believe the story that the party told him, he agreed to play nice for now after they told him that the Gusties weren't controlling the Loa.

Cutlass hatched a ploy to steal the Ribcage map belonging to the Blackbarrel Pirates, as it was being held by a small mimic in Captain Blackbarrel's pocket, and she knew that pirates tended to keep incenses that could calm down mimics inside their ships.

Cloud gave up his wings to gain a new ability, using them as collateral to convince Stone Cold Classic that he was worth investing into. In turn, SCC will get a cut of any treasure that Cloud happens to pick up.

>>29915717
>>29915715
>>29915682
"Well, that's a convenient overlap, since we've seen set on going to the Ribcage since the beginning!" Bee Holder says, holding up her map. "Got this map and everything! We'll leave right in the morning if the captain permits."

"Captain?" the unicorn from before asks, looking at HHS again. "Oh dear." She departs.

"Someting's going to happen in 16 days, and dey don't have any control over de Loa, eh?" P&Q says. "So, I assume den dat de Loa have also attacked them, to stir up trouble dere, and push dem into attacking us. But, be dat as it may, I don't know how much I buy dis curse business. Too convenient. Dis don't feel like de whole story. But still, we don't got much of a way of verifying. We can't leave dis island, since we rely on the mists too much to go about our business. Hmm..." he pauses and thinks. "Alright den. If de Gusties ain't in control of de Loa, that brings us an edge, however slight... Perhaps I can treat with them with this knowledge: Some common enemy for us to focus on and bring a little breathing room to our tribe.

"One last thing: Since you are leaving tomorrow, let me bring you something that will allow us to communicate across de distances..." he starts to root through his trinkets, and then finds a large blue conch shell. "Dis be a Caller Conch. You'll have to come up with a password for yours, and dat will enable us to call you on it."

>>29915675
The plants stir a little, but not much happens.

>>29915770
The diamond dog bites his lower lip and lowers his eyes bashfully, and his feet press together while his hands go behind his back. Mumbling something incoherently vapid and infatuated, he wanders off toward the coastline.

Oh, but that stench? There's a horrible feeling in your stomach... You don't think you'll be eating again all night. The concept of eating itself now makes you shudder.
>>
>>29915794

Cutlass swallows her gag and follows the diamond dog. "Thank you ever so much for the help," she says as kindly as she can. "It's just so hard to sleep without the right scents."
>>
>>29915794
Cerulean looks at the Caller Conch with some interest.
"That takes me back. Used to play telephone with two conch shells and a long stalk of seaweed tied to it," she says, sighing in the nostalgia, "just curious. What happens to someone gives the wrong password?"
>>
>>29915790
>>29915794
"A Caller Conch? What a useful little tool. So, it will always be connected to yours here? Is there anythings pecial we need to make sure of, save for the password?" he asks, his tail flicking about curiously
>>
>>29915794
Rin cleans her new weapons while still wearing tattered leather. "Why don't we make the password be 'Blood Bath'?"
>>
>>29915880
"Blood Bath? I suppose I see little issue with such a name."
>>
>>29915880
"That'd be too easy for someone else to guess, considering what you do and what I am. Need something that is super tough to guess without them just looking at us."
>>
>>29915908
"What about Blood Orgy?"
>>
>>29915923
"That...," she can't help but get a tinge pink, "that might be too easy too. How about...oh! Blood sausage! How about that?"
>>
>>29915834
He leads you through the jungle to the opposite shore, where the dogs' ship lies ashore. Actually, it is not a ship, but a long, wide submarine designed to look like a barrel. A few crew members lazily work on applying a tar-like substance to the hull, probably an insulating material. Your escort lowers a stepladder letting you get to the entrance on the top of the ship.

The entrance leads to a common area full of boxes and chairs and tables, with a musty smell tinged with alcohol. "Hoy! Guys! Where are the smokey stuff?"

A few other crewmates come from the bark, leering suspiciously at you. "For the last time, that's not for playing with. And who's this? Don't go handing stuff out to weirdos."

>>29915852
>>29915854
>>29915880
"Well, you can't really give a wrong password. If you end up saying another conch's password by mistake, you'll just connect to dat. Dere are a lotta conches out on de sea, and you can connect to any of dem with just de right words. Dere are a few odder types of conches out dere, but I dunno much about dem. Our password be, 'De bottomless sea accepts all dat be.' Try to pick one dat's a bit more complex than just two words. Yours don't gotta rhyme, but it's a bit more fun if dey do, ja?"

"Moreover, did y'all come back with any plunder?" Capt. Bee Holder asks, eyeing you greedily.
>>
>>29915958
"Blood Sausages are great! I be voting for this password too."

>>29915976
Rin hears Capt. Bee talk about plunder, turning to speak to her. "I didn't find any worth while booty out there, but I brought back a few new weapons and tricks to steal any plunder we set our eyes on!" Rin says, before flashing her new weapons.
>>
>>29915976
Alder bobs up and down understandingly, and lets out a happy little chirp "Well, thank you! We will make good use of it!" He says as he follows along
>>29915923
>>29915958
"Blood Orgy? I am afraid I do not understand. Blood Sausages sounds alright, though."
>>
>>29915976

"Weirdos!?" Cutlass repeats the word, holding her hoof up to her chest in an insulted manner. "I am NOT a weirdo! I am simply a pirate looking for a good night's sleep! And, I require some incense to do it. I'm afraid this day has left me rather... shaken. And, I need something to calm me down."
>>
>>29915976
"No worries. If anyone tries to do something funny, they'd probably expect a complex password. So this'll throw them off easy, and be easy for everyone to remember."

Cerulean looks to Bee Holder.
"Well, supposedly there is suppose to be some interesting stuff at the Ribcage. Not sure what we'll find other than some angry things to fight off, but that just makes it all the more likely to find something, right?"
>>
>>29915794
Cloud grumbles as the plant only stirs and fails to come to him.
"Hey, what is this genie? You better not have gypped me on that wish!"
He shouts back at Stone Cold inside.
>>
>>29916025
>>29916092
>>29916001
"Ahh, tarnation. I was hopin' we'd get to plunder on this island, but the last voyage this crew went on, we went on so much rampage that I figure we racked up enough negative karma to put us all in hell for all of time, so I figure it don't hurt to balance it out with some good deeds," Bee Holder says. She turns to the Elder and says, "Well then, it sounds like yer little situation is comin' to a stalemate for at least 16 days. In that case, we'll be headin' out in the morning, alright?"

Peace and Quiet sighs with apprehension. "I understand. But if dis brings misery upon my tribe, I can tell you dat dis 'karma' you speak of will be de last of your worries."

"Y'all get ready now," Bee Holder says, getting up and tossing aside her beer bottle. "There's some tents we laid out for y'all but it's going to be powerful cold tonight so don't be surprised if I c me in and snuggle ya for warmth."

>>29916088
The suspicious crew member gives you a look up and down, and you get the feeling that your fancy dress doesn't make you look like much of a pirate, but a lady. He snorts. "Well, okay, we'll let you have a bit of the captain's stash, but only if you tell all your cute friends about us, okay?"

He heads deeper into the submarine, and shortly comes out with a rose-colored ceramic jar full of red spices that smell like lavendar and sweet pea. "There. Remember, cute friends. Okay?"

>>29916138
"Hey! That is racist! I am way better than a damn gyp!" SCC shouts back. "Just get good at using the power, don't blame me if you suck!"
>>
>>29916205
>if I come in and...*
>>
>>29916205
Rin decides to find the place she last slept the last time she was here.

>Ready for time skip
>>
>>29916205
"Then I'm going to catch myself a quick, late-night snack before going to sleep. Thank you for understanding everything, Peace and Quiet."

With a smile, she leaves and heads to the ocean, intent on catching some fish before, eventually, calling it a night.

>Ready for the timey wimey stuff
>>
>>29916205

Cutlass smiles and says, "Deal." Joke's on him! Cutlass doesn't HAVE any cute friends!

At this thought, Cutlass sighs.

She peruses the jar to make sure it contains the incense she needs.

>[1d10] with Master Thief to make sure she is getting the right stuff
>>
>>29916205
"Excuse me for thinking a genie would give a solid working power with his wish."
Cloud shouts in retort.

He looks back out to the trees, and around the outskirts of the Gustie village.
"Hey, where'd the others go?"
He wonders out loud, not seeing the others of the party. Though he doesn't seem too concerned, giving a shrug as he looks back to the trees and tries to get one to walk.
>Earthen Grasp [Control] [1d10]
>>
>>29916205
"Alright, sounds good to me. I suppose I understand the need to stay close for warmth, if it truly does get so cold."
Alder decides to follow along with Cerulean, since some meat is always nice.
>Ready
>>
It it too late to join in?
>>
>>29916375
You'd probably need to chat with the GM, I'm not sure. Hit up the cytube link in the OP post
>>
>>29916283
As you open the jar, the dog that escorted you onto the ship trips over an exposed plank in the floorboard, and falls onto you. You manage to hang onto the jar, but as you stumble, a large whiff flies up into your face. You begin feeling exceptionally tired, very quickly, and you can't smell anything but the incense given that it's all over your face.

>>29916284
You activate a tree minion as it comes to life and wanders around aimlessly for a bit. A few Gusties applaud your show.

>>29916236
>>29916257
>>29916310
"Oh! I forgot to explain de last part!" P&Q says. "To set de password on your conch, you will need to whisper it continually for about tree straight minutes. Dat's how you get de magic to set properly."

Eventually, each of you settle into sleep.

>Skipping to morning...

You wake to the clamor of crass pirate talk and the clunking of barrels and boxes. Cane Shuga, Bent Scales, Kling-Klang and Sickly Sweet, Bee Holder's four top pirates, oversee the process of the Beesting's crew loading up their new supplies back onto the ship. Attracted by the smell of food, you mosey down to the shore and see the crew grilling fish, fruit and vegetables with some of the Misties as they watch the effort.

"ALL IN!" Bee Holder shouts from atop the Beesting. "We doin' a headcount in twenty! You WILL get left behind if you don't come on up and greet me proper!"

>You notice that Cloud and Cutlass aren't back yet.
>>
>>29916399
Rin flies over to line up. "Yargh! Good morning Captain Bee Holder, I be ready to set sail and find some demon blood to bathe me blades in!" Rin says with strange blood crazed enthusiasm. The hunt is on for her.
>>
>>29916399

"Gah!" she shouts in frustration as the spices get in her face. She begins to sneeze uncontrollably.

"Don't touch me you-" she stops herself. Both because she sneezes again, and because she decides it's best to stay polite on a rival's ship.

Now that she has a sufficient whiff of the incense... she uses her memory of previous heists to determine if this is what she needs. [1d10]
>>
>>29916399
"Ghf morhhin' cafftin," Cerulean says with a large mouthful of grilled fish in her mouth. She makes quick work of chewing and swallowing it before speaking again.
"Did Cloud or Cutlass come back? I'm not seeing or hearing them anywhere."
>>
>>29916399
"There we go, that's more like it."
Cloud says proudly, having the tree walk over and plant itself down next to him. He looks over it, testing out how much he can do with it by having it twist and twirl, shifting its branches to see if can use these plants to help with carrying future treasure.

While the tree does that, Cloud heads back to the chieftan's hut with a thought on his mind.
"Hey, you got a minute?"
>>
>>29916399
"Good morning! I will be sure to be ready, Bee Holder!" he says, fluttering ahead and working to help load the ship
>>
>>29916399
>>29916454
"I am not sure. I have not seen either of them myself, but I can try to look around, at least." he says, flying up to a higher altitude and trying to gauge out where they might be
>[1d10] Perception
>>
>>29916399
>>29916528
"Alright. You do that then, I'm going to go check back with the Gusties," she replies and begins to head back that way.
>>
>>29916425
>>29916454
>>29916493
The winds are strong and the sun warm, creating an invigorating feeling. However, the winds feel to be coming from the south, which, from your time on the ship, have learned is a symptom of an incoming storm. Kling-Klang (a gray donkey jack) looks over the gathered crew again. "Hey, you're right... where ARE those guys? Did they not come back with you last night? I heard you talked with the Gusties. I suppose they could still be there, right?"

"Could be. Maybe they're stayin' on purpose, abandoning the ship. That or they got lost on the way back," Bee Holder says, tapping her hoof impatiently. She paces the ship a little in thought. "Well, I ain't delayin' this voyage for 'em. We already spent a WHOLE DAY on this island! If they aren't back in time then I'm leavin' them one of the lifeboats. There are a few other islands in this area they can paddle to if they want to get back to the mainland."

"If they don't come back, I'll stay and look for them," says one of the crewmates, a unicorn mare.

>>29916528
Although you fly quite high up, the island itself is too vast and the foliage too thick, to see where either of them might be.

>>29916434
Though your head swims with alternating sleepiness and the overwhelming aroma, you are able to confirm that this is indeed the right kind of incense for soothing and looting mimics. It's called Somnius powder.

The filthy dog clambers away, ears flattened in terror at having gotten sand and mud all over your nice dress. But, as you look at the new stain, it quickly recedes, like fog burnt away by sunlight. The dog gawks at where the stains were in disbelief. "I'm... so sorry? Actually, it looks alright now... Here, let me get you a towel," he says, and gives you a washrag from one of the tables.

>>29916477
"Oh? You're-a still here, even though the others have-a left. What is the matter?" Elder Guts and Glory asks.
>>
>>29916556
>>29916558
"Hrm. Nothing that I can see. They must have stayed behind a short while longer, or gotten lost." he hums a little, flying after Cerulean before landing on her back gently and continuing to keep a lookout
>Perception [1d10]
>>
>>29916558
"Let them paddle, we have more important things to sail to!" Rin says.
>>
Okay, slight intervention by the hand of the gods here to avoid the collapse of the space time continuum:

>>29916434
The filthy dog clambers away, ears flattened in terror at having gotten sand and mud all over your nice dress. But, as you look at the new stain, it quickly recedes, like fog burnt away by sunlight. The dog gawks at where the stains were in disbelief. "I'm... so sorry? Actually, it looks alright now... Here, let me get you a towel," he says, and gives you a washrag from one of the tables.

But, although this property of the dress is quite fascinating, it is not enough to keep you awake due to the sleep-inducing fumes of the powder.

>...

You wake up on the shore, further along the coast, on a bed of palm fronds. The part of the shore you've been brought to is full of sharp, ugly rocks in the sand, and they create a strong breeze as wind whips around them.

>>29916477
Your scene takes place in the morning after having spent some of the night practicing your new skill to get a feel for it, and subsequently sleeping off the adventure.
>>
>>29916558
>>29916630
"Yea, I figured they did while I was chatting with your genie friend. Some heads up they could have given me though."
Cloud scoffs.
"Anyways, I had an idea. I think my ride is leaving soon, but how about I escort one of your over to the Mistie village? Now I know you wanna fight them out and win, but I'm feeling pretty confident we'll deal with that demon guy in time. So why not try to work on getting you guys along, just to speed this up when you're all saved? I promise I'll get the Misties up to speed and keep your guy safe, ...course you should do the same if they send one over later."
>>
>>29916630

Cutlass suddenly stirs awake. She frantically grabs at everything around her as her surroundings sink in. The first thing she notices is the jar she put so much effort into stealing. Then, a second thought fills her with fear as she makes a quick mental check of her condition. She nods with satisfaction as her fears are assuaged.

Then, it sinks in that she is yet again alone on an island. "SERIOUSLY!?" she shouts angrily at the universe. "What did I DO to deserve this!?"

The only thing to do now is figure out if she's still even on the same island. And, if so, if there's still a way off. She looks both ways down the beach to see if there's anything in either direction that looks artificial.
>>
>>29916598
"GraaaAAAGH! I hate delays!" says Cane Shuga, (a black earth pony stallion) with a stomp. "I don't get why we let a bunch of newbies take point on the island while the rest of us got stuck babysitting. We should be out there fighting and having fun and drinking and all that pirate stuff. Oi! Don't you agree?" After his rant, he turns and looks you over. "Hey. You didn't have those two new swords when we got here, did you?" You notice him ogling the new swords you obtained on the island, a greedy tint in his eye. He doesn't have any weapons on him, at lest not that you can tell.

>>29916645
You see a brief spark in his somewhat tired eyes. "As-a much as I would-a like another peaceful talk, you are-a unfamiliar with-a the tense dynamic our tribe's few interactions have-a taken on. Although your presence would likely start a pleasant conversation, the moment you leave, it would turn-a turn ugly. What you can do, is this." He glides over to the back of his hut and picks up the bottom half of an eggshell, twice the size of his own body. As he brings it over to you and puts it in your hoof, you nearly drop it from its weight; it's like a bag of rocks.

"Bring this with you when you go to Peace and Quiet. He-a cannot ignore this. If a Gustie takes it to him, it will only anger him. Bad memories, you see. But from you, a third party who are already in his favor, it will hopefully elicit a... civil reaction."

>>29916727
Up north, you see a small dinghy approaching the shore. Unwashed dogs hop off the boat, carrying a bundle of what appear to be fish. They leave the dinghy on the shore and pull their catch up onto land. Looks like you're still on Windy Island.

(1/2)
>>
>>29916581
>>29916556
As you press through the jungle, taking a more direct route east as opposed to the northerly route you took yesterday, you see many trees with Loa faces, snoring and snorting. Looks like they're largely nocturnal. As you go on, there's a fork in the road made by a large boulder that has come to a stop against the base of a large tree. A pair of boots stick out from underneath the boulder, and the legs sticking out of them are skeletal. The left road slopes upward, and the right road has many thorny bushes around it.
>>
>>29916783
Cerulean takes note of the boots, thinking about how stuff does tend to fall much more quickly up on the surface than in the water. As well as the lack of mobility being on land has compared to swimming. She looks between the two paths, unfamiliar with the area, and uses the tried and true method that all great explorers have used before her.
"Hmm...eenie meenie miney...MO!"

>1 means Cerulean takes the left road
>2 means Cerulean takes the right road
[1d2]
>>
>>29916783
"We should be careful how we progress, Ceulean. I would be a terrible shame if they returned and we were lost instead. W-Which way should we head from here?"
>>
>>29916775
"Ye touch any of me swords and I'll decapitate you and use your skull for my next bowl of soup! I had to earn these blades meself by slicing me way through the jungle!" She boasts and threatens.

"If ye want this Samurai Loa's blade then ye going to have to pay something hefty!" Rin offers with her own greed showing.
>>
>>29916775
Cloud nearly drops the eggshell from how unexpectedly heavy it is.
"Whoa jeez, what is this?"
He says in surprise.

Cloud looks over the shell, listening to what he says.
"Alright, I'll make sure he gets it, and chat with him in case he doesn't. Hope it works out, I'd like to swing by here and not see a war going on."
>>
>>29916775

Cutlass groans in frustration. She won't be able to sneak the map away from the captain in broad daylight. The best thing to do now is cut her losses and get back on her free ride off this island.

If the dogs are heading up that way, then she'll head the opposite way. Logic dictates that that will eventually lead her to the correct side of the island!

She begins heading in a southern direction along the shoreline.
>>
>>29916814
"Looks like we're heading that way," she says as her hoof points to the path with the thorny bushes.
>>
>>29916833
"...Oh! Well, I suppose that should work, then!" he shrugs, offering a quiet giggle and folding his wings in before asking "T-The skeleton should not be too concerning, should it?"
>>
>>29916886
"Unless the skeleton can somehow lift a boulder without muscles and all that other stuff that gets stuck in my teeth, I don't think we have anything to worry about," she says with a confident smile.
>>
>>29916901
Alder flicks his tail about a little, and smiles back "Y-Yes, silly of me, I suppose. Very well!"
>>
>>29916819
"Sounds really good," Cane Shuga says. "I'll duel you for that one. But if you don't mind, I don't want to just fight you over it. Fighting gets old after a while, and I want to test out something I found on our last voyage."

He holds out two six-sided dice. Both are purple with golden number indentations. They appear identical. "Which one of these do you want to use?"

>>29916814
>>29916807
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02NdOJW3VL8
As you go down the right-hand path, you end up getting scratched a bit by the prickly thorn bushes, but it's not much besides a minor annoyance. The path slopes downward and widens and becomes smooth. You hear a strange music, full of accordions and low brass. Suddenly, a spider the size of a cat lowers itself down from one of the branches, coming uncomfortably close to Alder's face. It holds out a hollowed coconut, full already with baubles and shiny rocks. It shakes the coconut at you, as if asking for donations. Another spider rests in the trees above, wearing a one man band's getup, playing the background music.

>>29916829
You see the eggshell is empty. It's just that heavy all by itself.

"Thank you, but-a get going. You don't want to miss your boat now, eh? Go on, else they'll probably leave you behind, if they've already gone and left you overnight."

As you exit the cabin and start to head west toward the Misties' camp, you hear a strange music, full of accordions and low brass. Following it for a bit, you come to a smooth path, where you see Alder and Cerulean being shaken down for donations by a pair of spiders. (See above post).

Somehow, you feel you may cross paths again...

The southern shore is rocky and difficult to climb over due to the high tide. But, each time your dress gets wet, the blemishes vanish almost instantly, just as they did the previous night. The going is slow and treacherous, but you make do. Eventually you climb onto a small rocky plateau to avoid the water. As you do so, you see the crew of the Beesting boarding their ship up ahead. Another thing catches your eye though: A small gold and red treasure chest sitting on the rocky outcropping.

"H-Hhhhhaaaa!" he chirps out in shock as the spider drops down in front of him, before shaking his head and recovering a little. Alder blinks once or twice, before chirping again in acknowledgement and rooting through his pack. He drops a small, polished blue stone, along with a couple bits, before giggling nerously "N-No matter what form they take, I can always appreciate a musician!"

"Don't worry, I got ponies who would never leave me behind. Hope everything works out for you guys."
Cloud says in farewell as he leaves the tent.

He looks out at the tree line as he starts heading out to return back to the village, sighing wit ha glance at his back.
"Now I gotta walk back through all this, alone.... Probably not the best decision I've made."
With no other choice, he begins the march back to the boat.
"Those Loa better be nocturnal."
He grumbles.

Cloud follows towards the tune of music, believing it to be some of the crew from hearing it afar. At only seeing Alder and Cerulean, he's a bit disappointed but at least its somepony.
"There's some of you. What's the deal, leaving me behind?"
He complains, stepping up to Alder before giving him a nudge.
"Nah it's alright, it all worked out. Who's you spider friend?"
He questions with a gesture to the musician.

Cutlass feels relief when she sees the familiar ship over the hill. But, her relief turns to pure elation when she sees the treasure chest on the rocks.

"Don't mind if I do," she says smugly to herself as she simply grabs it with her telekinesis.

"Oh, hello Mister Shear!" he warbles, hopping off of Cerulean's back "Good to see you! We were unsure of where you and Cutlass had gone, and we have little time before we leave... oh, the spider?" he asks, looking back at the pair "Just a couple of friendly creatures. One of them even plays music, isn't it nice?" he asks, his wings fluttering excitedly

"Yea, it does have a nice little tune." Cloud agrees, "She isn't with you? I didn't see anypony else at the Gusties... Oh well, her loss. Which way is back to the ship now?"

As you pull the chest down from the rocks, one of its corners gets snagged on something unseen from this angle, and the chest tips against another, more jagged rock. One of the chest's walls breaks, and about half of its contents, mostly silverware but with a few shiny gold pieces in there as well, fall into the ocean. You manage to retrieve what's left before it can spill.

The spider nods upon receiving its donation from Alder, and zips back up into the tree.

The two of you return to the ship-- but not before Cloud makes a quick stop at the Misties' camp to deliver Guts and Glory's message to elder Peace and Quiet, as well as the former's desire for a civil meeting. Peace and Quiet seems angered initially by the eggshell, and whatever it may symbolize of the elders' past confrontations, but seems to understand when Cloud explains the Gusties' wish, and more of the curse business.

Eventually, you head back to the ship, where you see the others getting on board. Bee Holder has a rather deep frown as she surveys the skies, poring over maps and sea charts with Sickly Sweet and Bent Scales.

"N-No, she is not, unfortunately."
>>
>>29917074
"Well if she stayed back at the Gusties like I did, she probably left a while ago. Can't say I'm the earliest waker."
Cloud shrugs.

Cloud steps out of P&Q's hut, but pokes his head back in for a second.
"Like I said to them, be nice to not have a war here when we come back. See ya later!"
Cloud walks back out, heading back to the ship, glad to see it still sticking around. Spotting Bee Holder looking upset, Cloud walks up and waves hoof in front of her face.
"Hey, remember me? You don't need to worry about weather when I'm around," He boasts, "We're all good now that I'm back?"

"Grrrrrrraaaaah!" Cutlass shouts angrily at the sky. "FUCK YOU, TOO!" she screams to the universe, followed by a series of incoherent cursing that one can only imagine she's picked up from the sailors she's spent too much time with.

In an angry huff, she telekinetically lifts what remains of her treasure, lowers the lid, and carries it back to the ship. The whole way, she continues to mutter loudly a myriad of profanity.

"'No dice'" Rin unintentionally puns. "I only make true bets with fights, but show me what ye got in your hands anyway." She says, before picking up one of them. "They better not be loaded."
>>
>>29917073
Alder waves to the spider as it departs!
After returning to the ship, he cocks his head to the side and asks"You seem unsettled, Bee Holder. Is something amiss with the map, or the water?" he asks, fluttering a little ways to her right

"Just waitin' on Cutlass, but--"

The whole boat perks up as Cutlass screams "Fuck you" to the universe. Some laugh, some clap, some nod and mutter in agreement, understanding the struggle. As Cutlass arrives, there's still fruit left over from the breakfast.

"Well, here we are, glad y'all could join us," Bee Holder continues. "I'm tryna decipher this here map and plot out the best course of gettin into the Ribcage once we're near. Ain't the weather that's one of the biggest threats. It's the rocks in the water that FOLLOW the Ribcage, and the tidal currents they kick up when they move. For as slow as that thing moves, they kick up a hell of a horrible tumult. But, the stuff we brought over from the last voyage may help us thread this ship through the storm."

"Okay, how do I use this again...?" Cane asks, pulling a scroll out of his pocket, reading it quietly to himself. "Okay, so, uh, now we both roll these, so just go ahead and..."

He bends down and tosses his die.
[1d6]

"Okay, your turn," he says as the die spins.
