A bullshit story with Andy's decayed art and his trademarked bitter/angry ponies.

I thought the bitter ponies were Cook's fault, now I can finally see they were Andy's doing all along, who knows what happened to the guy to let it show through his work like this.

Anyway, this is a sad way to close the Friends Forever collection.

Jesus Christ, and to think that Andy Price used to complain about Katie Cook's scripts needing so many bubbles that it distracts from the art.

I can't remember all of them, but #36 is probably my favorite. I think it was way better than most Wonderbolts episodes, and it even managed to "fix" some of the fuck-ups in the show.

First let me tell that:
- Fosgitt pony designs makes want to vomit
- I saw terrible FF issues

Now with that settled, this issue is solid. The question remains if this is a decent or good issue.
- About art. I have mixed reaction. For once Price cam draw ponies nicely, but then he tries way too hard with some reaction faces.

About story:

- Here Celestia seems to be kind of cruel towards sister, being insensitive about her millennial banishment, BUT later this does not find any reference in story. I think, that this could be exploited more.
- Otherwise, the constant bickering and insulting each other was amusing.
- Ending, as always, rushed as fuck. I can somewhat ignore that, due to page limitations.
- Explaining all the sibling issues in >>29903239 and >>29903244 is WRONG way to do it. You shouldn't place that many. For instance Kibitz's bubble in >>29903162 is well used.

For some reason 3: Princess Celestia/Spike is my favorite. It had both adventure and exploring characters.
In the same manner I liked #29: Rarity/Maud Pie.

I hate #14: Spike/Luna for ruining a lot of things here. The major flaw is that it was HARDLY a FF issue.

I havent even read any panel. Just skim through pages and look at pictures. Theres a lot of Andy Price ebin dog faces, predictable elemtns and OOC Princesses. Its skippable/10

Really a meh finale to the series for me. I was really looking forward to Celestia and Luna's FF but 25 pages of them bickering and looking at Andy see how many exaggerated expressions he can put into the same amount of space wore thin.

The whole of the conflict involved actually working to make Luna and Celestia out of character as pointed out by Kibitz and the sisters themselves (between making them get into a long stressful work week and the berries), before the berries Celestia seemed more hostile than warranted and by the time they ate them they had pretty much lost their characters and blended together into the same squabbling entity. I would have preferred an issue that didn't need to literally coerce the Princesses to their worst in order to have a story and could have a tale where their true characters shined and contrasted against one another; I'm certain Luna and Celestia have enough differences without being pushed to the very brink of sanity to make an interesting conflict/tale between them. The ending of the issue was nice but a bit heavy-handed in delivering the moral of the story (and heavy describes a lot of the rest of the comic: it is very, very wordy compared to usual).

I'll say the art is nice and the visuals/gags energetic and fun and all that but sprinkles of fun don't really make the rest of the story stand out. There were a number of good comparisons on the sun/moon elements of both sisters and how they interact (particularly liked Luna admitting she didn't like being called 'little') but over all they were too few and far between. It certainly wasn't the worst FF but not the going out I would have liked, either.
