I get what you're saying but in this case I'm not exactly talking about "evil", just deliberately trying to fuck something up. In my experience, tv shows get fucked up over time purely out of bad decisionmaking(with good intentions) much more often than due to malice. I think that's what's happening to MLP: it isn't being actively sabotaged like OP says, it's just poorly managed.

What came out was a cartoon show which only the group that enjoyed the fandom and the parody material could love. Look at all these fetish generals and self-insert greentexts.

Either that's what they wanted or they didn't realize exactly how much damage it would cause by implementing the fandom's writing style into the show.
The fandom is naturally mean-spirited and ugly.

It could have been handled in an actual funny manner with good-natured feels and a lot of creative ideas and good humour. It was as funny as Double Rainboom. Every fanboy insults the comic books, DR, Them's Fighting Herds because they're genuine narrow-minded awful teenagers who only enjoy to corrupt everything.
Instead of something good, I get a very weird and negative direction.
Every idea is handled in a self-defeatist and mean-spirited execution without any real substance. They add salt to the injury when they throw a bitersweet or contradicting moral into it after everything that's happened, I can't help but call them hypocrites.

How hard is it to simply write a respectful, cutesy, fun-loving cartoon show for little girls and their families,
instead of your selfish and entitled fandom full of weirdos and sex-crazed freaks and assholes?

How hard is it to make Moondancer and Luna positive mischievous fun-lovers instead of antagonistic, bitter joykills? How impossible is it to not add Maud Pie or make Fluttershy stop being an anxious shy moron in Scare Master or for every episode?

But it's been 6 years, they/he could consciously change some things, but either nobody has told them/him off properly or he/them have actively and stubbornly refused help, which makes in fact malicious instead of just stupid.
