I do not hate Starsprinkle Gitterpants, but from what I've seen in various threads, people hate her because of one or more of the following:

-She doesn't fail at anything she does, and if she does fail then she still gets put in the clear/right.
-She's stealing the spotlight from the other characters
-She doesn't have many flaws and comes off as a Mary Sue
-For all the efforts to redeem her and make her part of the main cast, she doesn't interact with the other main characters very much.

If I can be serious for a moment (I bet that will be greentexted with a comment that it's pointless to be serious on 4chan), I find Glimmer to be a flawed character not in characteristics, but in execution. Seasonal Rot is starting to creep up, and giving an unfinished concept of a character the central focus isn't saving the show. I find it hard to believe they actually want to write for her in this way, but Hasbro keeps editing the scripts to either dumb them down for the demographic or leave several things out.

That said, although I'm not a Glimmerposter, I find it entertaining the irony and just how mad people can get at just a picture of her. However, if you're really viscerally furious with her existence, calm down. It isn't the end of the world if something has done fucked up for the show.

The thing is, there's not much episodes to rectify that one. It's like she didn't learn the lesson at all. She did apologise but she didn't act.

Take Twilight for example. She destroyed the town in Swarm of the Century, she fucked everyone up in Lesson Zero. But she also united everyone in WWU, saved the town in Boast Busters. She also made folks accept Zecora and Luna. She was involved in the community, for better or for worse, she cared about it. Not just for her own friendship lessons, she genuinely wanted to help. She made up for her failures, not with apology but with trying again.

I wish Glimmer was shown to do the same instead of just hanging out with Twilight like they're orbiting each other. Twilight could've done better job at teaching Glimmer friendship if she just remembered how exactly did she learn her own lessons.
