Starshit isn't even putting effort into her lessons with Twilight, only half-assedly following them out of obligation, not because she genuinely wants to internalize them. She's not even remotely qualified to be an alicorn, in fact she already got a very good deal, friendship and studies instead of having her horn sawn off and being send to make company to Tirek like she deserved.
