One's ran by a large group of anons and supposedly has a higher budget from the convention group that got linked above, and the other one is ran by the usual Horse News people.

The first party will be a lot more lively, considering they have DJ's and are getting kegs, I would expect more of a chill out from the HN party. I could be wrong, however, beyond saying they're running a party, they haven't been saying anything about their plans.

Might be worth bringing up, but I haven't seen anyone at all, not even HN members, talking about their party in any of the horsefucker Discord/Skype servers. The only party I've seen horsefuckers hyping up is the first one. So it seems like the first party would have more of a /mlp/ presense.

I'm going to both, like the other anon said he is. But I think I'm going to spend more time at the first one.

Since Bronycon announced it will be letting other fandoms in and Otakon will be taking thier attendees... This is the last bastion of horsefucker freedom.

My issue is with the people running it, as the people running it seem to be doing it to fuel their ego. A number of them also seem to not to care about hanging out with their fellow horsefuckers either. Like, for example, half of the people involved with this year's party spend the majority of the time in one of the connected rooms behind a closed door avoiding the rest of the party at the last BABS party.

The ones that do chill around the party seem to try and make it all about them.

Also, I wasn't too happy with having a tip jar blatantly forced into my face by the bartender last year.

I also just fucking don't like Horse News.

Hotel prices are pretty cheap, even without the con discount. Also, there's room shares and shit if you want to spend next to nothing on a room for the entire weekend.
