I've got an interesting relationship with Pony now. Since I first found the show and went hard with the fandom in 2011, I've gotten married, and now have a kid who's old enough to enjoy the show legitimately. My interest in it has tempered somewhat, but I still have folders and folders of reaction images and just all around good art on cloud storage, and I'm currently hard at work on my second novella length HiE fanfic.

So I guess while I might not binge the show anymore, I'm still a fan, and there are lots of people like me (friends I know personally) who don't talk about it as much, but we still enjoy the fandom.

And I just saw Legends of Everfree for the first time the other day, and it was absolutely fantastic. I'm looking forward to the big movie.

I got into the pony game late, at the tail end of the hiatius between season 3 and 4, about October of 2013. I still love pony. I still love the show, excited for season 7. The movie...well based on all the toys and stuff we've seen so far I don't think the movie will be good, but I'm still probably going to go to a theater to see it.

I'm still 100% hyped. Pony isn't the new fad anymore, and I can understand if that worries you. People have moved on from the honeymoon phase, but that doesn't mean the love is dead, just the opposite. Love is strongest after years go by. 2010 saw the creation of something beautiful that I will follow to the end and always remember.

I don't think anyone cares about a few criticisms of individual episodes. It's that people take these and generalize to "the show is in constant decline", which colors their evaluation of new episodes against the rose-tinted season 1.

Believe me, some people do. Newbie Dash was literally the first episode that I called bad. In one of the post-episode threads I posted something like "this is the first episode ever that I truly consider bad, it didn't even happen to me with Princess Spike, this episode was just plainly awful". The replies I got were "why are you here if you don't like the show?", "fuck off, Faustfag!". Some people literally can't see any criticism without reacting like complete retards.

The worst part is, I think that every time someone dismisses legitimate criticism as if it was shitposting, he's giving the other person a reason to become a real shitposter and write "everything is shit" instead of a proper criticism next time. And every "everything is shit" just gives more fuel to the people who think that all the complaints are shitposting. And so on. We're fighting each other because we thought that we had to pick a side.

You can still like things. No one but yourself can make you not like something.

Honestly, am pretty much done with the community. The autism is killing me. There's nothing decent left outside /mlp/ and the porn

I personally complain a lot and criticize the show, but that's exactly because I still enjoy it and look forward to it. I still kind of like the show. I just hate its direction, its management, and the overall lack of passion coming from it recently. Plus, they reformed the show's perfect antagonist way too early.
Still, I am anticipating season 7. Hopefully, there will be some pleasant surprises in store.

Hopefully nobody is samefagging by saying they like the show still many times over because I legitimately like the show even after what it's been though and as stupid as my friends excuses for leaving are I stay and continue to make sure I see an end to a series that has impacted my life for the better. The show has been going on for close to seven years now and has had some drastic changes to its quality since about season 3.

Some people are disenfranchised with the show yet still are either attached to the characters or the animation, or even the fandom.

I mean, personally I haven't cared much for the last three seasons, I mean I've still watched the episodes but I won't consider them quality seasons. Some people take that as a sign to no longer watch the show.
