I didn't mind this episode. It was stupid but I didn't really care for Spike so it did nothing for me.
I don't think there's something that irritated me on a personal level in the show but some episodes did leave a bitter aftertaste.

Rainbow Falls' "choosing not to choose isn't a decision" is the only thing that upset me on a personal level.

Every episode where Glimmer is Glimmer, worst Sue ever. I was optimistic from the start, I could even fool myself into thinking progress was made offscreen, but ELTSD was cancer and proof that Glimmer can't fucking change. People like that... don't. As someone that's been abused by a cunt like Glimmer, it really pissed me off to see characters falling for her. Almost as much as it pisses me off to see bronies defending s6. I don't care if you're doing it ironically or not, it's not what faust would have wanted and it's not what I'd want my metaphorical children watching.

By that definition, I'd say yes he was being unreasonable. I don't see that as making it a bad episode personally. In fact it adds an interesting character trait we even get to see explored later on. But no one ever notices any of this because "lol Spike episodes are always irredeemable shit xDD"
