You're moving in a good direction, just get a better handle on the SoL format and AHP will be amazing. Rain being our teacher for EARTH PONY magic still has me super confused though. Personally I thought it would be awesome to go on some trip by ourselves to a earth pony village and learn from them. Still might choose to do that, Scribe could learn a lot from that kind of experience.

First off, let me just start by saying that I think you're a great writer. AHP is one of my favorite quests. The world is neat, I love hearing about the lore, and I like most of the characters. BH is pretty good, but I don't love it like I do AHP.

My main critique about BH right now is that it feels like early AHP. I get that it's a slice of life quest, but I don't feel like there's anything driving the MC much anymore. It's a quest where the goal is to roleplay the day to day life of a depressed horse, and while that may be fun for a while, it feels just a bit meander-y.
I don't know how best to articulate these thoughts, and I definitely understand that the quest is therapeutic for you, but after the decision to go home with Ava, there hasn't really been anything for me to sink my teeth into, if you get what I'm saying.
We as readers are discovering cuddle bug's backstory, roleplaying some emotional scenes, getting hugged, and learning a little about Ava.

In comparison, AHP has a lot of SoL to it too, but it has a deeper world, a lot more intrigue, and some good action and tension to round it out.
I'm not saying that you should make Cuddle Bug a soldier, or that a huggy emotional SoL tear-jerker is bad. but in comparison, AHP has a lot more substance to it, and that's why I like it a lot more.

It's not worth it.

It's been interesting to see what's been happening in Crystal Symphony recently, and that's not just it nearing it's conclusion. There has been more moments of levity and more than just the constant tone of darkness. Gradually the tone of the quest has moved away from 100% dark. Sometimes with precious respite from darkness with a flashback but now the tone is more varied. Always with the darkness and the threat of Sombra but always with some shining hope.

As someone who has played since Crystal Warlock and been with Aurora every step of the way I can say that I have IMMENSE investment into her. I have a very real connection with her character. I know her, how she thinks, what she would do in a situation. She's very flawed and relateable. I worry about her and I'm saddened by the cruel fate she has been dealt. It's been a long hard journey and no matter what happens I genuinely want the best for her.

As to Vincent, I hope that if you do decide to make another CYOA after this you can take the lessons you've learned and make something even better.

Are general magical schools okay to pick? Because personally, I think being a Red mage would be pretty kick-ass.
A little bit of healing, a little bit of offensive magic, a little bit of everything really.
Use some fire based magic to warm up food, some ice based magic to keep the ice cream cold, telekinesis for when the remotes a little too far away, esuna for when we catch a cold and have work in the morning.

No mages are inherently evil. Black mages are masters of destructive magic, White mages are masters of healing magic, and Red mages are a healthy mix of both. They can't master either magics, but get just enough of both to make up for it.

You probably level luck! Darkmoon is the last miracle I am missing to complete the Master of Miracles achievement. Also, multi casters are a lot of fun. Pyro for the damage, sorc for utility and miracles for (group) heal. Especially when playing with friends pyromancy shines. You probably use boss souls to level luck! Pyromancy has a lot of self-buffing magic and sorceries (I think) can give some nice weapon buffing. And yeah, playing with friends is surprisingly fun. 10/10 can recommend some jolly cooperation

I go to sleep at 12 after running my quest. My alarm is set for 3 3:15 and 3:30, but I ussually get up around 3:45. I get picked up for the carpool at 4:40 and get to my job around 5:45ish work starts at 6 goes till 4 then I carpool back home. Get back around 5:45.
