The movie is going to get 2/5 stars at best. It's already a clusterfuck just based on what we've seen from the deluge of new characters. Hasbro's only doing this on their end to market all the tie-in toys while all those actors are in it because the studio had obligations to meet guild criteria and figured they could one-shot it with a kid's movie. There's going to be WAY too many subplots here for this to be even somewhat enjoyable, and none of them are going to be fleshed out simply because there is no time to do so what with everything else going on.

Yes, and that would signify the end of the show. She achieved ascension, became the princess of magic, and there's nothing more for her to learn, the end. To leave Twilight in her previous position after that was to strip any significance her alicornhood implied, and it's the decision that made writers stumble when it comes to dealing with her now. They can't portray her as before and they can't portray her differently. She's stuck inbetween and she's mostly just avoided now because of that, which is a shame. With her being a princess there's a lot of topics that could be covered, but no one seem to approach her from that angle. It was Larson that actually used her greatly in Amending Fences to show a bit of a bittersweet lesson, and it's still one of my favorite episodes.
