That is absolutely not what Castle Sweet Castle was about. That was about coopting the sadness from the treebary to legitimize the castle. You'll notice she never gets the library back, she accepts the castle.

Reminder that if not for the toy castle it could've been just the stone map and we would still get the "moving on without forgeting the past" lesson with Twilight trying to grow another treebrary. It would take patience and care from her, instead of zero effort, and the pay off would be her doing something great for Ponyville she spent so much time in now, as well as giving her time to cope with the loss and letting go of it, cementing her hope in future and bonding more with her friends who would help her get through these trying times.
But instead a castle playset needed selling and that's it.

Half of the episode is about how Twilight dislikes her castle and tries to avoid spending time on it, then Pinkie Pie tries to point at the castle's good points but after a few tries she realizes up there's nothing positive to talk about (long, lonely hallways, ice-cold floors, etc)
