Just finished stitching the head on. I reduced the size of the OP head pattern by 10% on this one. Also used a straight stitch for the smile and a satin stitch for the nostrils. I'll make a horn and use a satin stitch on it for the horn's spiral. I'll probably make some ears too.

Just got back from rock climbing and showered, and my ponies feel extremely heavy. Like it took a lot of effort just to lift up Fluttershy. For some reason I enjoy that feeling, it makes them feel more real I guess.

If you wanted a giant lewd pony back when she was commissioned, there was only a few people to ask, and the quality standard between those makers was prettymuch this.

When I finally got her, I fell asleep on my couch with her that afternoon and had a delightfully strange dream with her in it. You feel 10 inches off the ground on the way back from that trip to the post office... ahh.

It's mostly just standard minky applique. Iron on minky pieces with iron-on adhesives, apply bottom stabilizer to body while holding top stabilizer in hand, and very carefully run a tight zig-zag stitch(satin stitch) around the borders.

The trick is mostly in getting nice smooth lines while trying not to kill yourself when your feed dogs inevitably eat the stitch-dense corners of the applique.

I'm not against taking pones into public, but the cringe isn't from our perspective (and we're also kinda biased if talking cringey ponies), so that doesn't really compute. For example, my co-worker confidently sings horribly way too often, forced vibrato and everything, sure he owns it, but we talk shit about him when hes not around, because it ruins a comfortable evening at work due to how annoyingly cringey it is. My advice in wings is to get closed wings. Open wings are nice to do, like you said, but if you want to have an easier time cuddling and lewding, then closed wings will be muuuch more practical.
