I got curious and made a chart that attempts to give the overall position of all the episodes so far by their average proximity to first in each survey.
I also made one that has the episodes by their average fluctuation from their average distance by 1st to see which ones move places the most.
Hopefully that made sense. Cause I bet there's a better way to word all that.

I'm pretty sure that's why too, but the numbering is off as a result. Usually it would just be the highest rank out of the tie for that set of numbers at the end. For example a 4 way tie for last would make them all 144th, or a 3 way tie for 44th would leave those 3 all at 44th with the next one being 47th.
I can manually modify the lists if they have that kind of a tie, but it would be nice to have it follow that logic if the sorter could be fixed to do that.

Th-thanks. A lot of it was just Googling my questions to death till I got Excel to do what I wanted. That program is amazing once you realize how much stuff it can automate. It took a day or two to figure out how to put the initial sheet together after the last Anons stopped making these threads, but after that it's just been lots of refinement.
It wouldn't be as good as it is today without the input of all the Anons that gave lists, ideas, and especially their skills and time with making/modifying the sorters over the years.

I would rather watch the shittiest EqG movie than garbage like The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows, Princess Spike, Baby Cakes, What About Discord, ect because those are so terrible that I get no enjoyment whatsoever out of it and would hesitate to even think of rewatching them

Well if you can find some sort of enjoyment from EqG, more power to you. All I get is an 80 minute long torment of ugly designs, butchered characters, nonsensical plot and maybe somewhat okay songs. At best it's boring, at worst it's offensively bad.
If the time comes to choose between 22 minutes of ponies with a bullshit story and bad character writing and 80+ minutes of not ponies with a bullshit story and bad character writing, the choice is clear for me. That one funny joke or two aren't worth sitting through the whole thing. But I understand that it is worth for some people so they put the movies above certain episodes. What I don't get is how someone can put it above two thirds of the episodes or even higher. Like I seriously cannot wrap my head around that taste/opinion.

Yeah I'm a hardcore n*xfag, that's why all her episodes are at the top.
I've actually dug up my ranking from October. Specific order has changed, but if I take a 10 episode batch (so like 1-10, 11-20, etc.), mostly all of them are the same in both rankings. Also nice to see S6 comfortably ahead of S4, I usually rate them around the same level overall because of S4's averageness and S6's high highs, but low lows.
Thanks for doing these all those years, man. And also for the personalized results, those are great too. Shoutout to the anon who made the new sorter so easy to use as well!

RR number four guy here, first off I like music (Heart Carol is #1 song). The sirens are great villains and RR has a solid plot. Most of all Sunset is my favorite character and RR has her become a protagonist instead of being relegated to one-shot villain, if you don't like her EqG is probably much less enjoyable. Well maybe you didn't get the chance to compare them directly. But if you rate A>B and B>C, then automatically that means that A>C. So at some point you assumed that, let's say, No Second Prances is worse than Baby Cakes (wew lad), and Lesson Zero is better than Baby Cakes, and Dungeons and Discords is better than Lesson Zero. That's how the system works,, otherwise you would have to do hundreds of thousands of 1v1 comparisons for everything.
Perhaps you didn't think through a choice or two properly. I found that the last round of sorting usually gave me the list already ordered as I wanted to, so it only served as confirmation.

Disagreed. RR is the only one salvageable and that's because the sirens are kinda cool and it's like 80% songs. Friendship Games has this stupid main plot element of magic leaking into EqG World, Twilight being a dumbass and not stopping it, both schools putting everyone in obvious great danger, Twilight obviously putting everyone in great danger. The idea that high school girls racing on dirtbikes are totally fine and the fact that tentacle monsters currently slithering throughout the track aren't a valid reason to cancel the competition. The plot is just stupid, and in order to make it work they had to make everyone else stupid as well. There aren't even any good songs if you don't count the preceding shorts.
LoE suffers from a similar problem, except now the songs are even blander, characters are even more generalized (Rarity is actually demoted to a "Fashion, darling!" drone) and we have the teen romance for Twilight forced in more than ever before.

But wasn't it fairly obvious somewhere along the way that maybe going to the competition, opening the portal thing and letting it do whatever might not be the smartest thing to do after people almost got killed exactly from that? The Games themselves aren't the cause of the life-threatening events until the very end after the whole tentacle monster shebang; Twilight is, and nobody knew that for certain until she drained magic from Dash, so this would've happened one way or the other because Twilight was shown at the start of the movie to be willing to sneak onto campus and do all of this shit anyway
Cancelling the Games would do nothing, and Celestia suggested doing it only for Cinch to not settle for a tie and accepting CHS as equals
In fact with all of the events in mind, letting Twilight go back to Crystal Prep or to her house with that amulet would be a terrible idea, because no one would have been able to stop her and she would have put many more people at risk since the M6 wouldn't have been around to do anything about it

On the 31st was when I gave in and binged Season 1 in a single night. The smile on my face that night was perhaps the biggest I've ever made.

They're changelings. They can sneak in and kill you while you sleep. The disaster of an episode that introduced Thorax also made it canon that they can change into inanimate objects, by the way. Not that I'm happy about that.
As for the Sun and Moon, could have very well been Chrysalis. The powers aren't unique to Celestia and Luna, and Chrysalis wrecked Celestia back in ACW so it's safe to assume she has the magical potential.
The changelings reforming out of nowhere is just the writers' laziness and lack of time. Like all reformations it was rushed and treated like the byproduct of the episode instead of the main point.
Thing is, Equestria can get away with a lot more simply due to being a magical land filled with ponies and mythical monsters and shit. EqG is supposed to be a regular world with only a few magic individuals. The rest of the world either doesn't know about magic or does not accept it as everyday occurrence. EqG more often than not builds the whole plot on nonsensical elements, making other things illogical, ignoring something, etc. to make their story work the way they want. Not all, but most of the pony episodes either don't do that or they at least can somewhat excuse it.

Yeah, the pilot is good, but this is really overrating it. It serves its purpose well (formulaically introducing each character one by one, spelling out their strengths) and it is kinda fun on a rewatch, but for me it's not even top 30 material.

Codefag are you there? I'd like to make some suggestions to add to your new sorter, if you don't mind.

I'm thinking of an option to choose between the new multiple battle sorting and the old individual battles, because at the end there are quite a lot of options to choose from and I, personally, think it was harder to choose my favourites from a bunch.

The other idea I have is to implement shortcuts for those individual battles. Very simple stuff like
>left/right arrow: chooses left/right option
>up arrow: cuck option
I've noticed you waste fractions of a second to move the mouse to your option and click it. Multiply it by ~800 battles and you've wasted quite some time.

It'd be nice to have both ways using your more reliable and well formatted code. Episode synopses on the sides are very nice to quickly recall the stories.

I have to say, I love the new sorter. Great work. Just a tiny detail, when one of the items to compare is a movie, the column with the description disappears and the columns with the items move, which is kinda annoying.
