One thing I didn't expect, when I first arrived here,
Was to find someone so special and perfect,
Someone I could hold close and dear.
But then I ran into you, and that all changed

I attended one of your Canterlot shows,
walked into the venue and sat real close.
Once you walked on stage, our eyes met,
And you were determined to make my eyes wet,

With rosin on your bow, you were ready to start the show.
Ponies from all around came to witness your melody,
While I came to watch you take my breath away, like destiny.

The cello seemingly came to life, as you struck the bow against the strings.
Heavenly essence strikes, as your songs resonated with me
You were just getting started, and I was just beginning to see.

As you continued to play, your eyes were scanning the room,
Hoping to see the emotions convey, everyone's attention consumed.
You had a sly grin on your face, knowing there wasn't a dry eye in the place,
And you continued to play, so happily if I may.

As your show ended on a cadence, my emotions were blatant.
I knew I had to say something, to thank you for this experience,
So I asked you for your name, as you left me delirious.
"Octavia Melody," she said
"How lovely," I replied, blushing red

I know this might sound strange, to be so up front
But I enjoyed your show, very much so
And if you don't mind, I'd like to take the time,
To ask you out for the night

I couldn't believe you complied, but I'm glad you were mine, for the night
Bought you some dinner, and your smile gleamed into my eyes
Asked you about your interests, and you asked me about mine
You were absolutely mesmerizing, enamored I was.

At the end of the night, I asked you if I could see you again
She said, "Come watch me play soon, and maybe I will, friend"
We embraced goodbye, as I saw your blushed cheeks glow
I know what I'm doing tomorrow...

It's hard to spend some time with Fluttershy.
As nice as it would be, her head will never rest on my thigh.
It would be nice to cuddle with her, and hold her close,
But she knows a very jealous creature, chaotic with each dose

I knew that Discord wouldn't allow this to go on,
He'd probably send me to a different dimension, I'd be gone.
Then Fluttershy would get mad, and he'd have to bring me back,
Not without saying something smart and conniving

I could see it now, He'd start in on me, telling me to keep my distance,
And I'd probably say, to his dismay...

Listen, man, I'm not trying to offend,
But I just want to hang out with my friend.
You don't need to worry about me, for you see,
I'm but a mere mortal. Not a deity.

He'd say "Touche" and send me on my way
But no matter where I was, he'd keep an eye on us.
He knew Fluttershy was kind and didn't mind spending time with her friends.
But when it came to me, he was at wit's ends.

Ironic, isn't it?
How when it comes to Fluttershy, he loses his mind?

Good stuff, nice and heartfelt. You've got to work on your sense of meter, but I enjoyed it.
