She's easily the least developed of any of the background ponies, and never garnered the popularity that the others did. Even Bon-Bon, another pretty blank slate, at least was given a bone in Slice of Life. The extent of her characterization is 'might live with Derpy and grow carrots?'

Every other pony as content, at least. I could name a dozen quality stories featuring Vinyl or Lyra or Berry Punch, and I could offer great pictures of them of as well. But for Carrot, there's just nothing. She's just never been popular enough.

People saying Octavia I can't understand. Octavia has fucking voice lines and was voted one of the most popular background ponies in the show. She's practically big league.

I said most. Rarity is continually a little batty, Twilight has outright panic attacks, but Pinkie is the one who went straight to hallucinating her own "friends" and developed a split personality.

None of them are perfect, but Pinkie's behavior in general verges on the insane. It's loveable and scary all at the same time, because she's an archetypal Comedian- laugh on the outside to keep the madness on the inside.
