It was an animation error, you autists. When they made that scene, they didn't think hey we're going past season 3 so Glimmer wasn't even a thought and they thought they were only going to make one EG movie and when they did decide to make RR, Sunset wasn't even planned to be a main character in it in the first draft of RR.
Stop looking for things that aren't there. Neither were planned. It was an accident.
